I have a house full of spirits ,liqueurs and beers and not tempted.. Been to the pub a few times and stuck to alcohol free. Tastes awful.. Could keep going into February.. I won't want to start again . Would of saved enough dosh by the end of March for a good holiday in the sun. DulwichFox
  3. Well boomshake. If you drive to Sainsbury's on a match day and park, then you are part of the problem.. Sainsbury's discourage parking by DHFC fans and I am sure that there are signs to warn people. However there will be a few that ignore the warnings .. but not enough to fill the massive Sainsbury's car park. It always p***es me off that parking on Lordship Lane is so restricted with 800 ?? parking spaces up at Sainsbury's. I sometimes wonder how much influence Sainsbury's have on those parking restrictions just down the road. All very convenient for them and has a detrimental effect for local traders who lose out to Sainsbury's. We should be proud of our local teams' success and give them out support. I realise they may not be every ones first team. but they offer good value and where else can you see a game of football for a tenner and also enjoy a few beers.. Sod Sainsbury's , they are open 7 days a week. DulwichFox
  4. Well trains used to run from :- Peckham Rye - East Dulwich - North Dulwich - Tulse Hill - West Norwood - Gypsy Hill - Crystal Palace.. DulwichFox
  5. Sleeping babies tend to wake up .. and when they do they tend to let it be known that they too are hungry or need changing.. People who may not get the chance to get out much and may of paid a baby sitter to have a rare night off, away from kids need some reassurance that they can enjoy a nice meal and a drink in peaceful surroundings.. I think it I reasonable that 19.00 is the cut off for kids in bars. These days parents have all day/afternoon to have a family meal together. Like a 7 hour time slot.. DulwichFox

  7. It always seems to me that most people simple do not use much cash... In the pubs people seem to go contact-less even for single drinks.. Restaurants - most people use cards - same as in the Supermarkets.. I NEVER take cards out at night.. just enough cash for the evening.. If I get rolled, it's not such a big deal and does not cause the aggravation of having to call credit card companies late at night when you may well be a little worse for wear... It always concerns me when (mostly women) carry a concertina of credit / store cards when they go out for the night. WHY ??? DulwichFox
  8. Someone mention Bob Dylan.. .. Would that be the same Bob Dylan that possibly made more money out of his supposed connections/ shares with the Dow Chemical Works that produced Napalm than he did from his music. ?. We will possible never know... ! DulwichFox
  9. I would just love to be so overrated and a multi-millionaire... Better than being an underrated genius (not me) and skint.. DulwichFox

  22. I received a letter of apology from Royal Mail this afternoon concerning my mail not being pushed through my letterbox porperly. They enclosed a book of 6 First Class Stamps as a gesture of their goodwill which was appreciated. DulwichFox
  23. Most CCTV is grainy and unusable.. You only have to watch Day Time TV.. and all the Police caught on camera programs.. CCTV is often used in poorly lit areas where more crime happens.. They are only really useful inside shops where there is adequate lighting.. DulwichFox

Yes.. it's a controversial subject and there is conflict as to whether reversal is possible. My blood sugar as tested at DMC Wednesday was 6.6mml 2 - 3 hour postprandial which I was told is good. There was a article suggesting that a 'severe' diet of <600 calories a day for 3 months could reverse type-2 diabetes.. This a very dangerous course of action and not recommended. I had an accident with a heavy scaffolding ladder and twisted my back. I was in excruciating pain and given Tramadol. I suffered severe constipation and could not poo for 10 days.. I was given various medications Movicol and suppositories but nothing cleared it up. I went to Kings on 3 occasions. I was crying with pain. Not from just my back but from my innards. I could not sleep or lie down.. This problem continued from October - February. Not really going for 7 - 10 days at a time. I could not eat - nothing was coming out. Eventually as my back got better I stopped the Tramadol and used Paracetamol. and I started to go normally. But I had gone down to 6.5 stone.. I was very ill. ..but as a consequence It may of been what reversed my Type -2. I do eat most things but I am cautious as it could return as it could with anyone not eating well. That was back in 2011/12. All my Hb1aC have been in the range of 5.8 and (5.3 July 2014) Had my Blood tested yesterday and await the results. N.B. Because red blood cells in the human body survive for 8-12 weeks before renewal, measuring glycated haemoglobin (or HbA1c) can be used to reflect average blood glucose levels over that duration, providing a useful longer-term gauge of blood glucose control. You cam PM me if you need advice.. Diabetes can cause people stress and concern.. Foxy
