One of the smaller curry outlets has had rent increase of ?29k to ?65k p/a. Plus rates and other expenses. I can see that in 5 years or less there will be fewer food outlet on Lordship Lane. Most restaurants simple cannot cover these costs.. and keep prices at anywhere near realistic prices.. DulwichFox..

It was rumoured that a new restaurant would be open by Christmas.. This is not the case and it would appear that for whatever reason work has ceased.. The interior has been extensively renovated with all the walls re-plastered and the ceiling raised by 2 foot or more. Supposedly it was/is to be a Cocktail bar and Bar-B-Que pit set up.. Look forward to seeing it completed and trying it out ... DulwichFox

rabbitears Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can you adjust the spring on your letterbox so > stuff falls through easier? It's a large letter box which easily accommodates an A4 envelope without bending.. Pizza leaflet distributers have no problems with their flimsy leaflets.. There should be no problems with standard envelopes.. It's probably Xmas temporaries who have not received adequate training or just don't care.. Foxy.. -
Yep... Yorkshires with anything.. Home made .. Equal amounts (by volume) Plain flour - eggs - milk. Pinch of salt if preferred.. Perfect. Foxy

No none of that... I do cook roasts on occasion... Roast beef last Sunday, roast spuds, roast carrots home made yorkies.. Home made gravy.. That's about it.. Christmas Day .. Home Alone.. not sure if I can be bothered doing all that for one.. Not allowed Christmas Pudding, Mince Pies, Custard, Chocolates, Dates, Sweets.. So a small Oloroso at lunchtime and a couple of bottles of beer in the evening , perhaps a sneaky Drambuie.. Few Twigglets.. Some nuts... Boxing Day.. off to see Millwall get stuffed... Foxy.. P.S. Can't even eat Humbugs..

Food at Mirash was indeed Superb.. There was an initial delay with the Poppadoms but with eight of us and another larger party in at the same time they did really well. Surma sounds like a good choice too.. so look forward to the 14th. 2016 Yaaaay Foxy -

Last week 10/12/15 I found my Mail sticking out of my letter box.. easily retrievable by any opportunist passer-by. I went to the Sorting Office on Silvester Rd. and they told me to report it on 03457 740 740. I did this and got a Ref. No and a reassurance it would be reported back to the Silvester Rd. Office for someone to have a word with the postie on duty that day. I emphasised I did not want to get anyone into trouble as they may be a temporary postie being Xmas time. I was told that no one was going to get into trouble.. I was told the matter would be resolved in 72 hours. Today the same thing happened.. My mail once again hanging out of my letter box... I have re-reported this and now the matter will be taken more seriously and I will this time receive confirmation of the outcome of these incidents. 2-3 months ago my I.D. was compromised possible by having my Mail intercepted... There was a thread recently about people experiencing lost/missing mail.. If you have had any problems. Please call 03457 740 740 and report it.. DulwichFox

And why did they build bloody Heathrow at the west side of the city ??????? because... In 1930, British aero engineer and aircraft builder Richard Fairey paid the Vicar of Harmondsworth ?15,000 for a 150-acre plot to build a private airport to assemble and test aircraft. Complete with a single grass runway and a handful of hastily erected buildings, Fairey?s Great West Aerodrome was the humble precursor to the world?s busiest international airport, Heathrow. During World War II the government requisitioned land in and around the ancient agricultural village of Heath Row.... more.. http://www.heathrow.com/company/company-news-and-information/company-information/our-history DulwichFox
