  1. Well down everyone , it's a amazing what you can achieve when you pull together as a community and have people on hand like Tessa Jowell to hammer home our views .
  2. Personally , I would want my children going to the same secondary. I wouldn't want one walking ten minutes to the local secondary and its sibling having to catch buses to another one . I also think to cut down on traffic , travelling ,and so forth , children should go to their local secondary . I don't see the logic in going to New Cross to attend Habs for example having to leave earlier , cause congestion via taking public transport when they can walk to the local Charter/Harris.
  3. I'm sure if you could show proof of bills with both your names , they would accept your proofs. I never usually have the documents most schools ask for thus I provide alternatives and it's never ever been an issue . They just need to make sure that people aren't cheating the system so as long as you have something showing you are together , they should accept the other documents.
  4. Need special filters for that Jeremy 😉
  5. Why would I? It's facts : http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/eclipse-tips-safety.html I'm not viewing the eclipse as I have no googles , welding ones or otherwise ! 6. Apparently 14+ welding googles are safe to use ?
  7. At the end of the day , whichever methods they use , not every child will get in.
  8. Is it possible that we could get someone to patrol Fellbrigg/Cyrena Road as there is a severe dog poo issue there , it's obviously a repeat offender as its every single day there is poo on the pavements , road , people's front yard and by the trees . It's disgusting and a popular route for the children .
  9. Hello, it's a pretty small nursery inside unlike others locally , it's actually the smallest school nursery I viewed in Dulwich. The children are also allowed to mix with the children from reception via the playground and classrooms which a lot parents weren't aware of . I found it too small personally but others are very happy with it, I opted for Goodrich nursery due to the biggest space and separation from the older children .
  10. When the grammar police moved in .
  11. When people paid stupid money for a two up and two down .
  12. The 'in' crowds groups .
  13. Hate nandos. Dry bland chicken that doesn't fill the belly. I actually really like GBK as I'm always full, you can build your own and the milkshake is made with organic ice cream . Does me for an occasional fast food treat locally .
  14. Hi, just to advise with all the antibiotics you might want to add some baby approved pre/probiotics to enable the little one's immunity to build back up with friendly bacterias since antibiotics will kill off the good and bad bacterias which can sometimes cause illnesses to recur . I always ensure we replace the good bacterias when we take antibiotics and touch wood , it has worked .
  15. GBK said: They're delivered fresh (never frozen) and daily from our suppliers. If there are any other disagreements you're having (best boxset, best beard etc) we're also happy to help out. They are really helpful on their Facebook page with answering any questions. 16. You can request for no toppings or choose your toppings and the men in my family always ask for the burger to be medium rare and they always have been . The beef is : Our burgers are made from 100% prime beef, traditionally reared and grass fed on independent farms across the South West counties. All of our beef is hand selected to ensure we serve the freshest, best quality burgers every day. http://www.gbk.co.uk/menu#menu1
  17. Gourmet Burger Kitchen will do your burgers to order . I like mine well cooked however . david_carnell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > aquarius moon Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > david_carnell Wrote: > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > > ----- > > > The Actress refused to serve me a medium-rare > > > burger the other night. > > > > I don't think they are allowed to serve burgers > > med-rare for health/safety reasons. 18. Thanks so much for the update and it appears that the message has finally got through .
  19. The new Charter that is since it'll be based 'in' Dulwich.
  20. I'm not sure I understand ... I'm assuming all the parents on here are DULWICH parents ? Their kids are in Dulwich schools ? Therefore they are in catchment of Charter?
  21. Fabulous letter . If Harris goes ahead then we will all know something is amiss! simonethebeaver Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Southwark Council has sent an extremely robust > response to Harris about the opening of the new > school, which I think captures the feelings of > everyone I've spoken to about it. 22. No pleasing some people 😉 As many has pointed out regardless of who won the bid it still wasn't going to be possible for every child in Dulwich to get into the secondary. I have a child at local school in Dulwich and there are children from Camberwell, Forest Hill etc who got in whilst others nearby the school didn't get in and this is based on distance catchment ! My point is , someone is always going to lose out no matter what but generally speaking , the children from all local schools should have a chance of getting in .
  23. Not true Otta. I'd be in catchment of Charter 2 but not 1 .
