  1. I was one of those that signed for a new primary in the area but no way did I want TWO Harris primary schools . If I had known that my signature would have been abused in this way I would never have lent my support just as I hope my support for a new secondary isn't used to start opening up a secondary school for say Forest Hill within Dulwich just because I signed a petition for what I assume to be one secondary on the hospital site . Renata,I am in total agreement with you .
  2. Ditto everything LondonMix said.
  3. His first post said Charlie Smith if you look at User History.
  4. Also it wasn't clear by the Harris petition that parents were signing up to have TWO Harris primary schools in the East Dulwich area . I assumed it was just one school and that has been solved with the Police Station secured as a Harris primary .
  5. It seems by your email above it's just the name Harris Nunhead that you have an issue with so if it was called Harris Habs or Harris Dulwich two , that would be ok ?
  6. There is a Councillor Charlie Smith http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgUserInfo.aspx?UID=625
  7. I don't really have much faith in Government departments after working for one and seeing families with children who have no special needs, looked after children etc from Camberwell getting into Dulwich schools whilst kids near the Dulwich schools have to travel further but that is another thread . As long as we get secondary school that isn't a Harris and a health centre I am happy .
  8. He seems focused on Habs so that hadn't helped at all . Charter is my preference, not that it matters as it seems just like Harris was the chosen provider so will Habs be the chosen one especially with James support .
  9. We also already have two primary schools opening , Harris Dulwich and The Belham. I am actually quite angry that we have been duped somehow into signing for two Harris schools when we signed up for one Harris school only . It's the reason I am not supporting Habs as James is behind it and I don't trust anything he champions and Charter is my school of choice .
  10. No more Harris schools . We have enough. The focus is on a secondary school and health care . Listen to what the Dulwich people want James, that is why you were voted , to represent US and we DO NOT want or need another Harris Primary school in Dulwich.
  11. And it's not waitrose 😔
  12. Would prefer some shops that aren't food or drinks . There is the odd clothes or gift shop but the amount of eateries is just staggering ( and Estate agents ) .
  13. I think part of going to a local school is playdates , helping each other out , being near enough for before and after school clubs/activities . It's also not good if you have to rely on a car / bus to get to the school also .
  14. I know quite a few Camberwell Parents who rented in Dulwich just to get a local place and then moved back to Camberwell. I was quite furious when they told me but since they can get away with it I suppose in their minds they are just doing what they can to get a good school but it's upsetting when friends then have to travel further to a school because the Camberwell lot have taken their spaces.
  15. What about the Montessori school in Forest Hill? They are very child focused ? It's http://www.rose-house-montessori.com/chapel_cur.htm
  16. KatC, Why don't you post an thread to meet up with Heber mums with children in year 1 then you can get to know them as it's quite daunting sometimes going into a new school .
  17. Indian tonic water is quite nice and grown up I find . I loved trying all the olde worlde traditional ginger beers /lemonades. Iced Tea/Clearspring green teas /Fruit teas like Rhubarbs and Blackcurrant Coconut water San Pellegrino water plus their fizzies are lovely Dandelion and Burdock Belvior do some nice cordial mixtures like cinnamon , plums , rhubarbs etc. Juices like pomegranate I think you should just make it your mission to try lots of different soft drinks . Good luck !
  18. Is there a reason this is in the lounge ?!
  19. Lovely meeting you KatC, It might be worthwhile posting an advert on here to meet mums in the area so fhat you can get to know mums . I have to say the majority are friendly and happy to meet up for a coffee and chat.
  20. Where is that ? LadyDeliah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not a shop, but Daniel's (Walters Family School > of) Taekeondo have moved to Bussey Buildings and > have a permanent base now.
  21. All the children I know that attended that nursery absolutely loved it .
  22. Sorry, my tone didn't come across how I intended it to , they are good points you raised but I thought if you posted it on the charter thread then it's gives them a chance to reply in the event they aren't viewing this particular thread .
