  1. My child enjoyed Santa at Horniman's. His did his job talking to my son and listening to him , the present was useful . Grotto was basic but it had a tree , fireplace , presents and santa so little ones will be happy enough .
  2. Went Horniman's today, Santa was really lovely , my child really liked talking to Santa and the present was a torch which is pretty handy . The grotto wasn't wow but for little ones its enough .
  3. She came to my house , not impressed with any form Of doorstep selling , it should be against the law .
  4. This is straying from the topic but I was told by one of the staff there that most of the products aren't organic .
  5. Whatever it was , I vomited as it just was awful and I love my cakes ! It just tastes how their premises smell after a clean .
  6. I was quite bemused at that comment too !
  7. Not naming names but today was the second time that I have purchased a cake from this bakery and upon eating it I could taste what I can only describe as cleaning products , it is as if whatever they use to clean the shelves with ends up leeching into their food. A relative agreed as they had something to eat from there . I don't want to cause issues as I like the staff lots but I don't think their cleaning products is suitable for use around food areas . Has anyone purchased anything from a bakery around here and found the same issue ?
  8. Judging by the size of the foxes around here , they are definitely not hungry .
  9. They look lovely indeed:)
  10. How awful :(
  11. I am quite speechless now I know more about it. Have the neighbours complained ?
  12. Nice to see most of the Primaries have a 5 .
  13. It's not verging on OCD at all . Its facts . Running water over dirty cans is no big issue . I have a child , I can hardly be OCD wiping dirty bottoms but if I can eliminate food poisoning , I will .
  14. Reg, has the neighbour complained about the skip ? I most certainly would.
  15. As for the shops , always wash cans and tins in case mice etc have urinated on them and dirty hands touching the items .
  16. I don't really think its a surprise with the chefs outside in their work clothes puffing away on their cigarettes , or the chefs walking to Iceland's in their uniforms to buy food for the restaurants , or the dirty trolley transporting meat across the road from an unmarked white van . No thanks .
  17. No problem at all with someone wanting to build a swimming pool ( lucky them) and is this first for East Dulwich?! But I think 18 months of road issues is a tad too far .
  18. What are Chiggers? Agree with the ice cream van at a late hour during winter and don't get me started on all the late night unwanted callers , I ignore them all .
  19. Annabel, I am so sorry to read about your loss xx
  20. Donald , I have passed many accidents and have worried about the casualty . Its disturbing seeing someone hurt , and it plays on ones mind . Asking if someone is ok is kind and considerate , there is nothing sinister about it . If I watch the news and someone has been hurt , kidnapped etc , I hope for a happy outcome as I know they have family who must be beside themselves and it plays on my mind what they must be going through . I don't think your friend would appreciate strangers turning up asking how he is when paramedics are working on him , or at his hospital bed , I think strangers asking if he is ok is caring enough to show that they are worried and they hope he is ok with no lasting ill effects .
  21. Great , more strain on schools , doctors and so on . Talk about cramming properties on every single piece of land in Dulwich.
  22. I was Teary watching the advert . The photo attached from Facebook made me laugh though .
  23. Speedy recovery x
