Dulwich Born And Bred

Picking up a stray piece of rubbish is completely different to going to the park every weekend and clearing up lots of rubbish . People do have a life/job and if people are making sure they do their bit for the environment by disposing of their rubbish whilst out and about why on earth should they then go and clear up other people's rubbish when they are at the park to relax ?! Well at least Lane Lover and Ladygooner are going to be at Peckham Rye every weekend and clear up all the rubbish. Problem solved .

Sorry , I am not used to different kind of protection vests . They were just padded and I assumed bullet proof as I have never heard anyone say knife proof before ( wouldn't bullet proof be knife proof too?). I did think it might be an immigration crime after seeing their operation enforcement van but they did turn lots of heads as its not something you see often of in Dulwich.

Anyone see all the operation enforcement team at Le Chardon this morning ? That was a sight all those bullet proof vested officers for sleepy Dulwich.

The flies didn't look like that , it was small but the end half of its body is red, yuk!

Oh yes ! Had lots in the house ! I assumed it was a fruit fly and have been storing fruits in fridge and making sure plug holes are covered . Whatever they are they like biting my poor child .

It's a really horrid road and I wish people would report their accidents as so many accidents do occur there but without reporting it legally its hard to get the MPs to take more action . Is the lady ok now ?

Most of them don't even stop for people who are at the island so the white paint would be dismissed like the island but what a super idea, if only it would work here.

Another accident, not the first and won't be the last on this road . The road is closed off. Police are there . The elderly lady that was knocked over has been taken away in an ambulance .

I try not to remember anything about the birth as it was an awful experience that has put me off for life ! Best thing was just having my healthy baby boy placed onto me and I just remember his blue bottom and me telling him that he is so naughty putting his mother through hell already !

My son is allergic to dairy and would not have any milk alternative , I had great success with tropicana calcium enriched orange juice . He will drink that with ease . I then use spinach etc in his food to get more calcium in him . Other countries don't get their main source of calcium from cow's milk and they are healthy so don't worry about milk alternatives if its rejected and try via other means .

We have been out most days to the park and in the shade but today decided to stay in as it was already very hot when I popped to the shops at 9am! Its harder in London due to the lack of fresh air so its not nice to subject children to stifling heat if there's no shade/breeze , it just makes for very grumpy little and big people .

I wish I could move in with you Mellors. Your au pair will be very lucky to have you all . For equality sake , a female au pair so three women versus three men ? :)

Not Sainsbury but Keri Moss joint winner of Professional MasterChef was sitting outside the Duck Egg today looking at the menu .

The shade a babe is great, it stops UV and it doesn't get hot at all, it keeps the baby cool. No idea about the snooze shade but blankets and coats would get hot and stuffy and muslin offers no UV protection.

Ahh, that went over my head , lack of sleep ! I didn't take offence anyway, just glad I have an activity to take him to that burns up some energy .

Thank you so much for your replies . Found a great class on Lordship Lane at the Bapist Church Wednesday from 5.30pm. My son loved it and Daniel the teacher was so good with him despite him being the youngest on that day at the class ( I have been told they do get young ones in , it's a drop in class ?4). My son certainly isn't too young to know about discipline , respect , and the rest that goes with martial arts .

Does anyone know if there are any marital arts/boxing classes for a four years old locally ? Thanking you in advance .
