I'm OldER....I dont mind because i look younger so I can remain in blissed ignorance. 30 is old as my friends and family keep telling me because I have no kids, I am not married, I still cannot drive...so basically they keep saying "tick tock" when they are in my presence. Lovely people eh? Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 29!!!! HeidiHi? That's not old. Anyway, who cares > youth is wasted on the young.

hahahahahahaha! My friends and my family, we all kiss each other on the cheeks! Sometimes one cheek ( the English lot) and two cheeks to the other lot ( Turkish, French etc) but I don't kiss my bosses or the staff in my local sainsburys and shops even though I have spoken to them for years, they get a pat on the arm instead. Nothing wrong with spreading a bit of lurve....;-)

We are all getting old....ER! sadly.:( We think we can carry on the way we could when we were young and cannot understand why we gain pounds when we still eat the same food, why we find it takes longer to walk to the local shops, why going for a knees up takes us a week to recover, why we swap fashion shoes/clothes for comfy stuff, why we start quoting and saying things our parents used to say and so on. Quite a shock really when people and doctors start saying things like "getting on a bit, age, blah blah" and you think " I am not THAT old" which we are not, but we are still older..and older is just as bad as errrr old! Sometimes I do not realise I am not a teenager anymore until I look at a photo of myself from my teens and check myself in the mirror and I am shocked to see I am no longer fresh faced, we all age without really knowing it. I might not look 17 anymore but I dont look a day over 20 and I am nearly 30...good old Olay!(tu) Anyway you are only as old as the person you feel..so make sure she is younger then you!>:D< Heidi x

I used to go to this school...there IS a swimming pool, it is that big blue building outside, not the best swimming pool but then I find that generally in London they are not too great anyway. I used to go to both sites for my lessons, and the site where the boys school is to be built is quite small, as we just had a concrete part to play tennis on and a small playgrounds, we used the main site which is the Harris Academy now for playing netball, hockey and so forth. As for building new schools, well, kids needs to go school, and it has to be built somewhere. No complaints from me, we will all manage somehow with the kids, traffic and the rest!

Glad I made you smile! :)) I have never seen any kids playing with conkers now you have mentioned it, whereas that was the complete norm in my day. That and marbles! I often lost my marbles too.....

I've used them for over 15 years, I like bendy buses
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to Azul's topic in The Lounge
Oh Sean, that happened to me before, this dislike of most people...probably because London has changed so much since I was a kid, yes, life changes, everything changes, I know that, but I just find it all big, brash and there is not much sense of community anymore, like waiting for the bus in the morning for work...I could be the first person there and as soon as a bus arrives everyone is pushing and shoving to get on the bus first, I find the lack of values and respect disheartening because I always wait my turn, I dont push and shove, I still open doors for people, say thank you if I am crossing the road and a car etc has stopped for me. Maybe I am getting old! Ahh Canning means getting a bus, no more buses for me, I will go to the next local one in Lordship Lane -
I used to get bruised fingers when I was a kid, the boys were so rough and used to whack my conkers so hard it would hit against my hands...brought a tear to my eyes it did!

I dont like buses full stop...actually I hate all forms of public transport...and most homo sapiens...have I made mortal enemies by that frank confession? -

I was there with my sister when this happened, it was absolutely awful, I will never ever forget that day. Most of the people who were there with us were offered counselling as it was traumatic. I dont like public transport full stop.

Dunno stabilisers, starch, flavourings...the usual that goes in Hummous....except the low fat one doesnt have the flavourings:)) sorry....wine withdrawal. Ohh I love guacamole, I have the low fat version of that also! They tend to use double cream or something in the full fat ones as it is very creamy, but then these are not proper ways to make it, it is factory stuff so full fat, low fat not the same as making it yourself but alas...I have no time for that!

Well regular has about 550 calories and low fat has 200 calories, so about 1 and a half glasses of wine or 4 gin and diet tonic is the difference!
