  1. My mum said that lately I have been annoying her non stop because I keep saying: " The thing is...." Before that it was: "I'm not being funny BUT...." I have no idea where I got them from, I annoy myself when I say it!
  2. But alas, she has no money, and she was scared at the thought of being a mummy, She crawled on her hands and knees to a shop doorway, Avoiding the glances from the East Dulwich Forumites, She muttered under her breath " judge me? how dare they!" But something in the window of the shop caught her eye, There was a cot, costing ?2000 made from hay, She pressed her nose against the window of soupdragon....
  3. hahahahahaha that made me laugh! Thanks Kal!
  4. If you know someone who orders from William Rose just get them to stick an extra Turkey on there list for you! My mum has an order with William Rose, and the Gardener and my Sister have all added their orders onto my mum's! ( One of the guys from the Butchers actually told my mum she could do this after telling the Gardener that they cannot take more than a certain number of customers, but they can do lots of orders from each customer).

  6. You would be surprised how many people dont get bonuses! When I used to work for the Government, I didnt get a bonus, when I worked in retail, I didnt get a bonus. As a nanny not all my bosses gave me bonuses. I don't tip cabbies, they get paid more than I do! I only tip waiters etc if they have done a good job, otherwise they get nothing either, but I rarely eat out so I dont encounter those problems!
  7. She thought she would head to the Palmerston, But upon her way she heard a decent tune, The music and laughter led her to inside 72....
  8. Yes, they do not work short hours like the bin men either, They do long hours, shift works, get puked on, have to clean patients, they endure many many things, including violence these days in their jobs, they get paid peanuts, most have to work over xmas and new year ( unlike bin men). Sorry, but I wont be leaving a tip! Maybe in the good old days when the work was much harder and everyone knew their bin man, post man, milk man etc, but in this day and age? no, because most people are in rubbish jobs with little pay, and I am sure everyone would like a tip! But of course, your money, your choice. atila the gooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You may not have had cause to call on them > personally, nor have I, but they still do the job > every day of week. 9. She went to the kebab and wine, to take shelter from the drunken swines
  10. My brother used to work as a binman many moons ago, and he said the money is much better then what you get in retail! Lots of people do unpleasant jobs, streetcleaners, my sister who is a nurse and gets little thanks and money for it, and lots of other people. They get a wage.
  11. Oh that is just silly! Tipping everyone! It is different if you are on first names term with them, but i never see my bin men and they are pretty much useless, dumping half the stuff on the pavement which has missed their truck. As for the postman, they keep changing all the time! Beside I am sure a lot of them tip themselves by helping themselves to our posts! Milkmen? dont have! My organic delivery fruit lady is getting a card. If I was the Queen I would tip everyone, butI am not, I only buy for close family members. At least they get a wage, there are many people who do not even get that!
  12. Ermm help out at Crisis. Stay in and throw a party. Stay in and Watch TV. Go Skiing. Go to Edinburgh to party in Scottish style. Babysit for someone who wants to party on New Year's eve. I am spending festive season with the family and friends and that is how I like it.
  13. I want to be burnt and scattered in the wind!! I want everyone to go to the pub afterwards and have a bloody good night taking the Pee out of me!
  14. You are so lucky having big bosoms that need strapping up! I have to make do with these small babies!
  15. Ditto to big number 5! I am not paying extra for their opinion when I know what is what, and nor am I paying extra for towels and shampoo! A decent gym with common sense staff at a decent price...please!
  16. Are there any stalls left?? I have a business idea!
  17. I had the common sense to SNUB the fair!
  18. Sadly everyone else DOES pass judgement based on what is in newspapers, if Chav was not on this forum and no one knew about her, you would be passing judgement, it is human nature. We ALL pass judgement but naturally we are more lenient when it comes to friends and family and people we know! We ALL have an opinion. Mine? well lets say, I have seen a lot, lived a lot and I would have taken a completely different road to Chav but then my personality and mentality is obviously different to hers. We all have choices and when it comes to kids, well, I know I would never do anything that would warrant my going into prison if I had kids, but alas, that is me.

Ahhh you are a wise man!! (tu) I agree exactly! I used to read papers but reading about murders, wars and such and being unable to do anything about it just got me really angry so I would rather not know! The news was worse, the amount of times I listened to all the stuff going on and being flabbergasted was not good for my blood pressure, so basically I just focus on my life and the things I have control over.
  20. Maurice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What a silly position. I've no idea how to > respond to that. Is that message aimed at me? Then I shall remain 'silly' I have no interest in reading about every politican, celeb or Tom, Dick and Harry, I have my own life to be getting on with.
  21. It is a paper, it tells the news, thus newspaper! I don't watch TV either! I only watch Strictly come dancing and Heroes and that is my lot. I do agree that all information is someone elses version but the media DOES influence too many people and you cannot disagree there! Ignorance is bliss and that is where I shall remain...Blissful! 22. I feel like I am missing out on a huge secret!I do not read newspapers ( as it is one person giving their version of the truth and I do not like the influence the media has) so I guess I shall remain in the dark about this big secret! I think we all have a few skeletons in our closets anyway!
  23. I spend around ?60 to ?200 on each person, I just buy for two sisters (one lives in Oz so we don't bother) my mum, my two nieces, my nephew and my brother and that is my lot done. I do however buy everyone special presents on their birthdays, that is friends, their kids , my family etc, which I just cannot do at christmas.
  24. I have never had a problem getting taxis back from up town or the airports. They are usually really nice as well, chatting all they way home which drives me mad as I like to ride in peace.
  25. I saw the dog this am running up henslowe road. I just saw a dog from the lounge window and was expecting an owner but no one was to be seen. Poor dog.
