I'm at Westminster these days but always used to (and ideally still would) stay south of the river. In the past, when job hunting, I always tried to stay in areas where bus routes were easy, especially late at night (the joys of working in the arts). Many a good job opportunity had to be missed as the commute to and from just wasn't a thing I was willing to do.

I think it does really depend on which age group and dare I say it "social background" too. I didn't want to get too deep into the whole thing and as is my habit I haven't made my point particularly clear, altho in this case I think it more deliberate as I know I'm likely to cause a lot more offense than I may have already which was/is certainly not my intention. *shutting up now* :-$

Just out of curiousity (darn I'm well into stuff today!) JJF wot age bracket would you put urself in my dear? I only ask, now don't anyone go getting all humpfy about this, but I often find those of whom are in the "younger" groupings often don't tend to take these kind of things to heart whereas those maybe slightly older sometimes do. No no no no no I'm certainly not trying to make an issue out of this or over generalising in anyway (I hope) but IME I have found this to be so. AND no I'm not directing my observation at anyone in particular OR indeed see it as a general rule as I also know many others who wouldn't give a flying moustache either! :)

So sleeping in gardens/cold floors and the likes are a no no? *makes notes* :))

Not wanting to reignite any issues but... Scruffy said "Baby groups dominated by straight mothers can verge on the desparately boring, let's face it!!" How are they boring? I mean from any other group? Not being a parent myself I have absolutely no idea of the interest/activity of any parenting group so I only ask out of curiousity :)

With regards to Moos comment "Bus drivers aren't incentivised to catch fare dodgers either-at least, I think not!" it's certainly not the drivers responsibilty to catch anyone dodging a fair. They can certainly stop the bus and tell whoever is in the wrong to get off with the classic line "this bus aint going nowhere until you pay or get off" but anything else is down to the revenue (ticket inspectors) or even transport police/normal police to deal with - hence why sometimes the driver will do a "code red" for them to come a deal with it. :)

Where ever you are whether it be online, socially or at work you will always get groups that seem to be "cliquey" - meaning that there are those who feel there's "popular" crowd where they may not fit in. I personally don't see it here but, through general experience, I can understand how/why others may make that assumption. At times I see an overall point of view that I may not agree with which may give off the impression of a "clique" - if you don't agree you are outcast kind of thing, (yes yes I know this is not the case. I'm just expressing how others may percieve it) and so guess other that those who are not "regular" contributors may think on these ocassions a set group exists. A forum is what you choose to make it. If you want to get involved get involved...we all like to express our views, socialise and all that :)
