  1. I found a Zip Oyster for Isabelle Hill this morning just before Crystal Palace Road on Lordship Lane. PM me if you know who she is.
  2. I'll check out the North Cross Road stall - thanks for the recommendation. I do understand that if there isn't a market for a product then a business isn't likely to survive. My point is that people were saying Burro and Salvo was overpriced, which would imply that they were comparing it with an equivalent product. The stuff they sell in supermarkets isn't fresh and I find it tasteless so I'll go back to dried pasta. In a world in which people are increasingly relying on food banks I count myself lucky that I could treat myself. PS DulwichFox freshly made pasta needs to dry out for an hour or so before cooking otherwise it will turn to mush.
  3. I found their customer care skills lacking when they first opened but over time the staff became really friendly and helpful. They weren't cheap but I loved the quality of their pasta. I am really missing them so maybe those people who are saying they were overpriced can tell me where I can buy decent fresh pasta locally now?
  4. I have got a picture, which I'll send to parking enforcement. The driver claimed he was told by the police to park there as there was no space on Townley Road - he also said he was an ex policeman, knew he had the right to park there and said I had no right to photograph his vehicle! He'd had the engine idling for around 10 minutes - he turned it off when I told him it was adding to pollution and said he hadn't had the engine on since he parked.
  5. The coach situation is now beyond a joke. There is a coach completely blocking the Heber Road bus stop on Lordship Lane as he can't park on Townley Road. I'll report it to TFL.
  6. I am very sorry they have closed although their Shoreditch branch is still open. Their pasta was fantastic and the staff were lovely.
  7. Thanks for the heads up about the Christmas Hamper appeal. I've donated and wish Pecan good luck in reaching their target.
  8. Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I heard a piece on the radio the day I left warning people about opportunistic burglaries over the Easter period - I have a monitored alarm so thought it would lower the risk but clearly not.
  9. My holiday was rudely interrupted by a call from the police last night to say I'd had my front door kicked in. Luckily it looks like they were interrupted or the alarm put them off but the door and frame are completely smashed in. This is just a heads up to anyone living around the Heber Road part of Lordship Lane to be vigilant. The police have secured the door but I'll need to get it sorted when I get back - if you have had a similar experience do you have any recommendations for someone to do the door?
