  1. Haven't seen a bobby about but have received, plopped through the door, some literature alerting us to a recent spate of burglaries in the area and that community police officers are currently serving our area ...
  2. Got really niggled yesterday by a woman in a car who was trying to turn right onto (is it the start if Peckham Rye)? from Nunhead direction, anyway, basically trying to turn right when it clearly says 'no right turn' and she was blathering on her mobile. When she realised what she was doing ('cos she was getting beeped) she roared with laughter into her phone and turned right regardless ... "silly cow" I muttered
  3. *Swaps MP's battered copy of Roger Red Hat for own Jennifer Yellow Hat, takes wobble board away and lends Keef Billie Blue Hat instead* *Settles down in the hammock for a spot of light reading*
  4. *Knocks on the board room door* *Hope this isn't too off-topic* Sat opposite girl on tube last night who was telling her friend all about how much money her other half had made by selling his four-bedroomed house and how they were going to buy a big gaff together in Balham and be mortgage free and oh isn't life wonderful and oooh look at me and my life ... and then the friend asked where the house he was selling is and she replied "Oh East Dulwich, but who wants to live there?!" and friend nodded 'wisely'. Naughty silly girl
  5. Perfecto! Good work CC.
  6. This is Hairy Smelly Love's signature dish and it's bloomin' lov-er-leeee. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/roasthalibutwithwhit_83700.shtml
  7. Morning DM Easter Sunday is on the 8th so you're nearly there! Likewise Kathryn. CC and co. I forgot about a prearranged event I have on the 12th (not that I think the night out should be arranged around my diary; just thought I should say. Friday 13 is still good, or Sat 14th if others prefer. PD
  8. yeah, maybe logistically it's easiest to meet in CPT and not pin down numbers for food. I'm keen for the CPT; how about Thursday 12 or Friday 13 (or would that be too scary!)?
  9. How about an Easter Egg hunt ... Crystal Clear as the bunny.
  10. What about one person queues at William Rose to buy the beef, another at SMBS to buy the veg, another chooses wine at Green & Blue, copy of the Observer from Budgeons and then we all trot off to whoever's got the nicest and biggest house ... maybe Snorky's?
  11. *Shoves gallant Keef out of the way* *Offers him half the wine and rejected hammock instead*
  12. *Wonders whether a lazyboy is like a Lazy Susan avec condiments or whether Keef is really sitting on a lazy boy ...* *Opens bargainous bottle of wine - 40% off* *Sighs, content that the forum is back up and running*
  13. The full-time staff, maybe managers or owners ? at Mrs Robinson are lovely! George is particularly great and has always been really helpful ordering stuff or letting us know when something we wanted but in a different colour has come in. I have to say that the weekend staff can be a bit clueless, i.e. you pick something up without a price, ask how much it is, they say "isn't there a price? oh, I'll find out", look slightly gormless and wander away ...
  14. *Admits to purchasing non Martha Stewart wedding magazine at weekend* *Horrified by purchase* *Mild panic sets in as magazine suggests 18 months are needed to plan wedding* *Only has six ...* *Asks DM if she can borrow her dress and whether she still has tiers of cake in the loft" *Munches on strangely enjoyable concoction of chocolate brownies and pickeld onions*
  15. MP (although in danger of being lounged), a truly professional couple would shower and do other bathroom 'stuff' while on the tube going to work. Imagine if trendy bathrooms could be built in the train so that one stumbled on in the morning in dressing gown, toothbrush in hand and stepped off the other hand spick and span, likewise, coming home late after work get into pajamas and straight to bed!
  16. *Gently prises DM's grip from the bottle and hands her a jar of pickled onions instead* *Shows her CCTV of Shambles lurking in Sainsbury and Batdog on Goose Green roundabout - not doing any naughty business* *Settles down in hammock with one eye on the lunchtime episode of neighbours*
  17. When we were being shown around flats by a ... ahem ... friendly estate agent (from the one that rhymes with farts) he said "Some people are put off by the lack of a tube station but the people of East Dulwich don't want one because they feel it would then lose its village feel".
  18. *Wishes could somehow literally be in the quiet room with dear people (would even put up with dancing girls) if only boss would stop finding 'really important things to finish off' at ... ooh, say quarter to going home time* *Big grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
  19. Oh NOOOOO! no no no ... I mean no dog hair all over the sofa, carpet etc ...
  20. Blood samples ... ??!! Hope not belonging to your mate
  21. If you get hold of one MP, Hairy Smelly Love will join you in 'petting the pet' while I go to the pub with Mairead hee hee hee or simply relax in our hair-free homes!
  22. Lo siento Mockney! I haven't quite woken up yet ... Zzzzzzzzzz, might toddle off to la sala de silencio now.
  23. You - a bald stalker Mockney? sorry, just got it ... bald maurader
  24. It was Mikewbate saying that the 176 had its own page on Wikipedia that I couldn't believe. Falling asleep in a haze on the bus is something even I do! Hairy Smelly Love has mixed up the 37 for a 137 too in the past *drunkenly squints with one eye*. I don't remember where he ended up that time. And CC on the never leaving Dulwich factor, I commend you!
  25. Ok, I actually just tried to search for that but, I think Mike, you wuz joshin'. By the way, did anyone else have a horrendous bus journey to work yesterday morning? Is this already lounged? Don't know what's happened to the 185 lately, every 10-12 minutes my a*%e. I waited at least 25 mins yesterday and then it terminated at Camberwell Green on a whim - soooooo useful.
