It would be good to see some more carrot at the same time as we disincentive car use. More buses to Brixton, improved train services and please Southwark, some bike hire schemes - Boris, Lime etc. (they're everywhere else in the Capital).

Like I say, I'm in favour of this scheme and would definitely support something similar in ED.

Will push a lot more traffic down East Dulwich grove and past the new school. Slightly concerned that this will improve air quality in the village at the expense of the greater number of people living in ED. Don?t get me wrong, I think they?re good plans, but would be good to have an area wide plan that includes East Dulwich

These don't look like bad plans to be honest. Would like to see something similar for ED though.

That's a real shame. I must admit, I hadn't been here for a while, but it was one of the originals.

Hi James, Is the council doing anything to encourage the Lime electric bike scheme (or any of the other London hire schemes) further south to ED, in order to promote sustainable transport and healthy living?

The CPZ is not about reducing car use. If anything it encourages people to keep a car. It certainly increases the already high sense of entitlement that most car users have with regards domination over public space.

CPZs encourage people to own cars. Speed bumps incrase pollution. These seem to be the Councils main 'green' policies at the moment.

The increase in SUVs is ridiculous. If we really want to get people our of their cars then there needs to be a great deal more pedestrianisation in the area and segregated / traffic free cycle and pedestrian routes between local schools, public transport hubs and town centres. I would also like to see electric bike hire schemes encouraged in the south of the borough. Currently they do not operate in East Dulwich.

I would support wide spread traffic exclusion in an attempt to increase active travel and to improve the environment. I strongly disapprove of privatising public space for car storage in this way. It's go nothing to do with 'health streets' and I wish the council would be straight forward about it. The approach seems to constantly knee jerk to a shouty minority, rather than take a considered strategic approach to managing traffic in the area.

Police priorities

This bollard is still being knocked out / replaced. The old adage about 'keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome' springs to mind.

It is disappointing to hear so many on the left of the Labour party blaming brexit and insisting that they had the right policies. I agree, not much self reflection. Another 5 years (at least) of austerity and never ending negotiations with Europe are not what this country needs imo. Also very sad to see my children's freedom to move freely across the EU without restriction being taken from them, as though it's something they should be pleased about.
