I have zero confidence that this will be back on by 11am tomorrow. That is now the 5th different update I've had from Virgin in 24 hours, so why trust a thing they say?

Was told that the problem was fixed this morning at 10 AM. However I am still without Internet. The customer service Person was then trying to claim there must be a problem with my Router. The mind boggles...

Yes same with us. Completely down, we're on Hindmans road. We were on hold for over 30 minutes to 3 different people and were given inconsistent information each time. Insultingly low compensation of ?2 offered. We've just come out of contract so will be looking at other options.

I totally agree with Treehugger. There is also no reason why this has to be a permanent bus lane. Most bus lanes in London operate in peak hours, with the exception of some around really busy junctions. I drove through there on Tuesday morning, around 7:30 am, on my motorbike. The water was insane, a torrent coming up through the pavement which looked completely blown apart. Nearly a foot of water in places for about a 100m stretch.

Used the Nunhead guys last week for the first time. They did a brilliant job, helpful and friendly and you get offered tea and coffee too.

I would agree with everyone advising to get the wall built as a joint wall on the boundary. This gives you the option to build off it too, even if you don't want to straight away. Even if you don't want to at all, it's an option that a potential buyer might like as and when you come to sell. I would also be inclined to go for the joint surveyor. This helps keep lines of communication open and will speed up the process.

I don't think the "charitable" Dulwich Estate has a right to hike up rents by 70%. Over 85% of their revenue after costs goes to 3 very expensive fee paying schools. Dulwich College is ?38,000 a year for a boarder.

It was too much batter and not enough fish. Mrs Willard ordered the polenta gnocchi which she said was good. Perhaps mine was sat around waiting for her's to be finished. As for the "decent music"....if you think the Best of the Beatles on loop is decent then fair enough. Personally the strains of "Obladee - Obladaa" and "Octopus's Garden" blasting out far too loud (so everyone has to shout across their tables to hear each other) contributed to the indigestion of my average food. If this sounds a tad harsh, then it is because I was expecting better and also because I think there is a lot of potential there. The opening weekend of any new pub, restaurant is never easy and I will certainly give them another go in a few weeks. If they get it right then it will be a good addition to the local pub scene.
