  1. Nice try... What Mike D said.

I think they're just describing you.

New jewellers opened on Upland Rd, next to 2nd hand store... BTW, where's the covered market? Need a watch battery changing.

I thought the classic response to this was: 1) Scoop up offending freshly laid turd and place in brown paper bag. 2) Place brown paper bag on doorstep of culprit. 3) Set fire to brown paper bag and ring doorbell. 4) Scarper. 5) Chuckle as culprit is forced to stamp on their pooch's turd in order to put fire out.

  7. Neither can be considered particularly "cool". I know which place I'd rather live though.
  8. I realised I'd become middle class when I once asked my mum the best way to clean windows. She suggested using newspaper and vinegar. The next thing I knew I was there at the window with a bottle of balsamic and the media section of the Guardian.

  10. The tram lines are actually being removed in the picture....
  11. This picture features in the book East Dulwich Trough Time by John Beasley. The picture was taken in 1952.
  12. I'm on 3 and an iPhone and I have no probs. I find it better than O2....
  13. Razors = Ubertroll Fox - You're entitled to your opinions but your argument has been blown out the water. I recently had the hog roast on the market and it was delicious.
  14. I could smell it earlier, and I live about 1km away. I thought someone was having a bonfire in their garden nearby. Sorry to hear it was something more serious...
  15. Play Scum Rodeo - see how long you can get them to hang on!
  16. I actually like the idea of a call from them so I could play along and take the piss....(tu)

I'm sure that's the last thing on his mind.... Demery, you probably already know this but apparently a lot of stolen bikes end up at Brick lane market. Might be worth a trip this weekend.
  18. Found this story, well worth a read. It's about the V1 that landed on Hindmans Rd: Doodlebug! Although the author doesn't mention Hindmans Rd in that story, she refers to it in the comments at the bottom of this page here.

I agree those houses look nice but have you seen the prices? If I had ?1.6 mn to drop on a house, I certainly wouldn't be moving to Camberwell. This is from someone who lived there for 6 years. ouch
  21. I'm with 3, very happy with reception and Internet speeds on 3G seem quicker. Much better than O2 which used to drop calls in my house all the time. I also got ?110 cash back when I joined and got the new iPhone. All you can eat data is cool and also if you have an iPad you can tether it to the phone. This is also free but other providers charge for this. Double winning.

  23. BTW Free prem here! :)-D Feels good to not be lining Murdoch's pockets.
