  1. 160 Rye lane. Not far down past the end of the Rye if you're coming from ED road
  2. Just visited the new Crisis charity shop in Peckham. Very friendly staff and a very good range of stuff. Worth a visit. They need things too, they said.
  3. here in East Dulwich It helps to be so rich

    Next door/post

Not opened, but over a month old which rules out the postman though, (of course) it would have helped if he'd put it through the right door to start with
  5. Is it worth me complaining? I ask for advice. This morning, amongst the rubbish blown around next door's front garden where the wind had overturned their recycling bin, I saw a letter addressed to me. With a cheque in it, which makes it worse. I knocked on their door then, being a little cross, but no-on in. Now, after reflection, I think that anyone who can't be bothered to trudge the 6 or 7 yards to my door, won't be impressed by my complaining to them What do people think?
  6. I had one this morning too. Made a change from the calls saying that HMCR have got an arrest warrant out for me.
  7. Looked a bit tired today, dust and rubbish under the counters and a misplaced stuff I noticed last time I was there. Shortage of staff, I imagine.
  8. If anyone is looking for car reg. LD 67 CDE, Southwark have "repositioned" it from Tintagel Cres. to outside 27/28 Worlingham Rd
  9. OK, thanks, edcam.
  10. Is there any free way of checking if a car has been stolen? There's several in out street that haven't moved for weeks and all the sites I can find want paying before they'll check.

    Iran

I know nothing about General Suleimani. Perhaps he is a monster. But isn't just killing people usually called murder?

    Mr Simms

Chocolate pizzas in Mr Simms on LL, ?19.99. Chocolate pizzas in Mr Simms Bromley, ?13.99. ED mark up?
  13. Must have been the only terrorist in history to have been beaten off with a narwhal horn
  14. I agree with nxjen and goldilocks. I assumed it was for some sort of community Christmas entertainment, not a commercial venture. Far too big.
  15. Just come back from DH and access wasn't improved by people choosing to wait standing on the stairs. There were 6 of them, causing anyone who need to hold the handrail to go round them and also, of course, reducing room on the stairs. Lots of passengers from Kings have reduced mobility and handrails are important Why block the stairs?
  16. Garish, out of keeping with the locality, pseudo simplistic. I could go on.
  17. That's probably criminal damage if they broke your tile(sounds like it). You could report them to the police (pause for hollow laughter)
  18. If I could, I'd buy The Lordship just so I could paint over that horrible mural
  19. Completely agree, Sue
  20. In less than a week I've had four items delivered to my address with another address clearly on them, a letter which had obviously been opened then roughly stuck down again and now a missing chegue. What's it going to be like at Christmas?
  21. So I was almst right, kidkruger

    Amazon scam

Just had a recorded call purporting to be from Amazon saying my account had been hacked and now press 1 blah blah. Checked with Amazon and it's yet another scam. Just adds that little extras spice of worry to one's day
  23. Just seen the Queen and the Pope in the Co-Op buying reduced price bread
  24. Perhaps someone else had rummaged through your bin, thrown the box away and this man had merely found it and returned it Or perhaps he was using it as an excuse for knocking on your door to see if there was anyone at home
