Just passed by, the car there has got a ticket, so perhaps karma has struck (or whatever karma does). I'm surprised that there's anyone left in ED who doesn't know not to park across that kerb. I think the warden nests in the tree above, waiting......
My husband just politely tried to warn a woman parking across the notorious dropped kerb in Lacon Rd. that she risked a parking ticket. Her reply? "F..k off and mind your own business" I hope she gets a ticket, but perhaps this is just meanness.
I've never actually timed every one of my searches for a parking space, but I think a 20 minutes search sounds reasonable. I know I've spent 15 minutes looking time and time again. Get stuck behind a delivery lorry or a refuse cart and it can be 10 minutes getting out of your own street.
It's always been a pity that children can't pay on Goose Green because of the dogs and the poo. Most gardens here are small and some space to run about on would be welcomed. My son was chased by two dogs once and the owners told me it was his fault for running away.
It makes me think that if there's going to be very prominent public art, we the community who have to look at it all the time, should have some say in the choice.
I think anyone would mind parties at 3.00am.(if it wasn't theirs) They had another for NYE. Bottles and glasses all around nest morning. I grant you no-one wants persistent noise of any sort.
East Dulwich. And it's easier to say go and talk to them, than to get up on a December night, get dressed , go out, and face who knows what when you knock on the door.
