What did the FA honestly expect from a manager who was their fourth choice, and was a rubbish club manager. Having said that only Crouch came away with a scrap of credit for the way he performed last night. The others looked less than average. As Jah said, it's a must win game and we play one up front, and that is a guy who, let's face it, would not get into many sides in the prem.

Last nights performance epitomised everything thats wrong with our international football, which is why I care so little for it!!!!! Thank god the prem is back on Saturday!!

England were 2nd rate 2nd best and not deserving of a result. Perhaps this will sound the death knell for McLarens reign as manager (please god). Having said that our problem lies much deeper than that. Until we start coaching kids to play football the way they coach kids on the continent, we will lag behind the rest of the footballing world by some distance!!! Why should you feel you have to justify yourself for attaching a flag of St George to your messages. Go for it. We should all be proud of our roots. I seem to recall Southwark council stating that it might prosecute residents of the borough for flying the flag of St George, during Euro 2006 ( I think) as they fely it might cause offence to other nationalities. As usual they got it totally wrong, one rule for one group and one rule for another. I notice that they said nothing about prosecuting other residents who might want to fly flags of other nations, I suppose they assume that it is only the flag of St George that can upset people.
