Hi, Does anyone know if the buses going into town are stopping at Denmark Hill station? Or will I have to get off the bus alot earlier and walk? Appreciate it if someone could let me know Thanks S

I think it's the salt/chemicals(!) that they put down in icy weather to stop us slipping :)

Denmark Hill to Wandsworth road (about 7 mins) and then get the bus just a couple of minutes to CJ. Definitely the quickest route.

Hi - for alot of those questions about specific products you'd be better off writing on the sainsburys.co.uk forum. They have the actual buyers at Head Office who will check in to the forum and will discuss specific products with you. Link here Sainsbury's forum These ranging decisions aren't usually made by the Store but are initiated by the buyer.

NO chance of getting on a 176 or 185 for at least the next hour. There are about 50 people waiting at the stop in Forest Hill and by the time they get to the Harvester there's another 20+ people so no-one can get one.

I think it's going to be May - not sure of exact date though. They're offering 50% off for people who fancy some grub during their training days. Here's the link 50% off -
Could it be a tattoo? Then the son could go out and get the same tattoo done, so as to convince others it was him. Having something so permanent done to his body to help out his father is quite a statement. Tattoo could be of a dog (!) - ok, I'll stop now!!

Ah - I was thinking of a screen play! My fellow canine friends would indeed cause too much trouble in theatre land!

Perhaps he could untie his dog outside this place when he leaves and be photographed doing that from behind - the dog would be how people identify him (distinctive collar perhaps?). But then as easily the son could also claim to have similar dog (or be walking the same dog). Maybe the dog could have an obvious bite mark on it from some illegal dog fighting ring....... hmmm, maybe I should just stick to eating chocolate, this plot malarky is hard work!!

Break-ins & burgularys: East Dulwich Road area
Snoopy replied to flong's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That's horrible. What type of front door do you have that he broke through first? Did it have deadlocks etc? -
If you do put notes through people's doors why not put the forum address on it too? That way people can log on for an update and find out if they should keep looking or hopefully so they can share in the good news when he's found! Helps drive traffic to the site too, so there'll be more people online if anyone else needs help in the future for this kind of thing. I will look out for your pet and cross my fingers he comes home soon

Snubbed by the SNUB Winter Green Fair
Snoopy replied to grumpydad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Good post. Monica makes many a fair point. If everyone did everything perfect the first time round there wouldn't be half of the problems that there are in the world. The truth is we don't. But we should all try and we should all support each other. Focusing on the 80%+ people who loved the fair, I look forward to the next one. -
I lived in Islington for 5 years and moved here 6 weeks ago. I moved because I couldn't afford anything up there and I was desperate to buy my own pad. Location was the main plus point about Angel - I could walk to work, the westend, and you have so many places around you e.g Old Street, Farringdon, Barbican, Camden etc. Transport was another huge plus point. I could go out anywhere in London and whatever time it was e.g. 3am I could always get home cheaply. I'm already missing that but ED has so many other plus points. ED's positives are definitely the greenery, the community feel and the sense of calm - you really feel like you've escaped the rat-race every evening/weekend. The similarities are the type of shops & restaurants there are here - lots of boutiques, one-off shops and butchers, bakers etc. Angel had them too but also had so many of the chains that you just had to know where to look. Age demographics are v.different. Angel is more 20-30. ED appears more 30+. I miss the cinema and the theatres of Angel - would be fab to have afew of them around here (actaully, there probably are some, I'm just so new I've missed them) Overall - I love ED. Afew later night trains wouldn't go a miss but ED wins over Angel.
