  1. Ooo what fun, my favourite game: Amateur Psychiatrist. My sweeping but in depth analysis is... Spring/Beer google-itis - without the beer.
  2. It's quite the Villaaaage now, tho not the English country vil. More like a an ideal-urban-ville type-0-place (who's ideal I don't fkn know) And it's properly retro to be whippet thin, that's commitment enough in it's self.

Or is there another organisation involved ?
  4. I quite enjoy the odd troll. If they're creative ones that is. (not the frothy mouth cheese type- spouting their heinous views from behind the anominity of their keyboard - whilst mum washes their socks, irons their pants & cooks them a full-english) Of course I feel slightly sullied after, as my repressed self denouncing Catholic guilt kicks in. Nothing a few good deeds and the odd Bloody Mary doesn't cure.
  5. NOOOOOoooooooo Please, no more fekkin Stik. (else i'll be tempted to add further anatomical features)
  6. Thanks ingrid - I know you're a stik fan and I know he's inspired by classic painting Still it's a bit D.U.L.L isn't it. And he must have had a job lot of the ol' grey-brown paint because he's used it in Hoxton too. Meh !
  7. He's well suspicious is Stafer Try The Sydenham forum -it's as dull as dishwater, so your views should liven things up Failing that lets hear your *ahem* views anyway ????'s can open a "how-long" book.

Who gets a night bus anyway ! Next thing you know, peg sellers will be hauling Caravans made from lolly sticks up the main drag.

  10. I'm not sure that the OP really gives a sh*t on our opinions of cars for him. In his own words: 'don't-really-care-what-to-get-as-long-as-it-gets-us-around-and-does-not-leave-us-in- the-gutter-too-often' And then to prove a point he adds: 'We are going to test drive a Kia and see how that goes' That aside, the thread has nicely evolved into a kind of top-gear-type-cool-wall So I love Jeremy's choice, is that a Pacer ? I used to drive one of these, which was obviously inspired by your dream car & boy do I wish I had it now. http://www.honda600coupe.com/photos/drivers_side.jpg

I'm not not sure a closure is ever flagged up as one of those "Hey, here's a good idea - let's close the Police station" It's more a case of economics and logistics. It just feels sh*t when one closes in a community - like we're being abandoned. But the reality is that the location of the station doesn't stop or prevent the crimes committed on that patch. See Carter Street in Walworth as an example. NatWest on Walworth Road was one of the most robbed in London - less than a stones throw away. The key thing is Police presence and availability. Can the police and their team attend within the required time at a crime scene. If you know the answers then do share, as for MP's wages-perks and property prices in Dulwich - I predict an upward swing. As for all the other issues, I personally find it easier to break each incident down and rationalise them individually - so not feel under siege from it all. And what you read is important, some publications are rather angled toward the 'IT'S ALL GOING TO THE DOGS' Armageddon is someway off tho.
  12. La la la and all that ... But what is it with "Stick" Only this morning I was looking at his work opp the carpet shop. Really, is it that interesting - meh. Hoxton's got some on the back of the ol' 333 - still meh ! And what's with the hood up - you don't know who I am gig. Really, I don't care for it, if only for that dreary grey-brown colour scheme in his work. That said, I watched Ben Eine a few weeks ago, finishing his work on the side of Shoreditch House. Hood off and chatting to anyone who came up. Very nice - pretty colours. Still, free prints are free prints. I'm sure Sue is enjoying it.
  13. A Kia ? Oh dear! Aren't they cars for people that don't like cars ? Mind you that said, i'm driving a volvo estate 1984 (leather interior) which has been round the clock twice. Owned and serviced by the same person /garage for 20 years. I love it, won't drive our other car. The volvo has an air of "i'm invisible" about it, radio set only to Radio 3 or 4. So if on LSL you're behind a blue estate, helmed by someone oblivious to you and your ranting - it may well be me. I offer no apologies, it's meant to be that way.
  14. I hate Stuart Lee Yeah, really I do, but not for the right reasons. My mate works in TV, oh yeah, he's a large-ish cheese. So he got us free tickets to one of Lee's shows, nice I thought! Only when we got to Islington or wherever & got to the door early, like 45 mins early, we were turned away. "Sorry, full up!" "But we've got tickets" we protested, though as the guy on the door explained so had all the others in there. Seems they give out way too many freebies, so the show fills up. Boy was I cheesed off with the large-ish cheese guy, all I could think of was "EXTERMINATE" i'll give you fekkin EXTERMINATE. Next time i'm going dressed as an 8ft Edam that can time travel. Woooo ooo oo -dan da ga dang....wooo oooo

To late, Summer's over. Tho not before we ramped it up further in the yard today. 17. A sub genre maybe, but... I do like a chinese hand cut chip at times. http://cooking-nana.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Chinese-salt-and-Pepper-Chips.jpg

No *Bob* I think you've overlooked a bit of Foxy's leakage Remember the Photography - there was one of a piece of stone & one of a rose garden I seem to remember. They most beautifully showed his creative and some might say joyful side. But I do think he's inclined to keep these under wraps these day - obviously not dry/droll enough. That aside. I worked on Jack doh dah's house. He was very pleasant, except when his wife was around & he hid away 'writing' (in his bathroom no less). She still tops my list of "Most unpleasant people I've ever met" He also rode a motorbike & had many hats and dark glasses in/on his hall table. Make of that what you will
  19. Who remembers this place. I only went there once on a really hot day. 1 Fish Finger sarny & a glass of orange squash, all served by a guy in a faded burgundy "bus boy" uniform. Quite bonkers and way out of time with the outside world, but I liked it very much http://k-punk.abstractdynamics.org/archives/NewPiccadilly_large.jpg
  20. Only 3 sleeps to go Rosie...! http://bubbleshealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Tired-eyes.png
  21. I cobbled together a BBQ yesterday on site (a few breeze blocks 7 a metal rack) Sausages & a Barnsley chop, cooked slowly over some Kent Charcoal. Tempting fate I know, but twas a delicious late breakfast.

  23. Blimey "Chef's Delight" is one place i've never dared to venture, reminds me of a poor man's Wimpy. But one place that I used to go to was Hilltop (on the bridge by Sydenham station). The woman who worked in there could curdle milk with one look from her sour face. If you dared go in after 4:00 she'd give you the most withering look of distain, I'm getting a cold sweat on thinking about her. But the food was good. Steak and Kidney Pudding, Stewed steak, Liver & bacon. All what we call "gravy dinners". Mind you it's been years since I've been in there. I think that Sue's sour face did finally put me off.
  24. The Jasmine on Kirkdale SE26 is nice and close to my house. It's run by a decent and friendly guy who takes care and pride in what he does. Mind you I always eat the same thing in there pretty much "vegetarian breakfast with bacon" The thing about a good cafe is you can pretty much be left alone, no one really bothers you, no kids. Funnily it's one place where I feel I can truly relax, no tetchy service or staff usually. There's a class thing too. A Cafe isn't so up tight entitled middle class, generally a less pushy punter - no crying babies too. I usually take a late lunch, which means it's much quieter, peaceful even.
