On visiting the co-op this munch-time I was exhorted by a colourful group of three young men to "reject the words of Jesus Christ" and "embrace Islam". I refused to be distracted and - pausing only to glance at the immobile figure in the Salvation Army uniform stood by the exit in what appeared to be baffled but stoic silence - went in search of eatables. I assumed (wrongly) the SA chap would be confused by the - as he might see it - encroachment on to his 'preaching' turf and expected him to stay stood still (as it were), but on leaving I noticed him engaged in hearty debate with two of the young men. Thus were both parties happily negating each others attempts to preach to and otherwise 'God-bother' the good folk of ED. A happy result that should be the subject of a parable when the atheists get around to writing a bible...

The Co-op sells whole free-range chickens as well as packs of free-range thighs and drumsticks etc. they also sell RSPCA/Freedom Food Chickens and packs (cheaper) and standard chicken (cheaper still).
