I looked it up as I couldn't quite believe it and changed my post accordingly - yes you're right - but it is ridiculous and dilutes the real problem of racism to equate white middle class europeans as suffering racism from other white middle class europeans (what does their class have to do with it one may squeal? well, I haven't read that far yet...)

Having someone start to explain and/or describe something (object/foodstuff/person/place/nation/anything) then curtail said description with "Well, you can Google it." Well thank you, yes I can, but I'd rather you made the effort to at least describe what you started to talk about a little further than its name and colour/shape/location and if you can't be arsed then don't bring the bloody subject up in the first place. I don't expect every encounter with a friend/colleague to end with a list of shit I have to Google to understand what was being talked about.

"A racial group means a group of persons defined by reference to race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins." so your man may have a case which must be a comfort to those suffering real racial abuse

"What's that?! Another mention of DJKQ?I thought we'd silenced all the non-believers!?" http://trumpton3.homestead.com/TrumptonPeople/Capt.Flack.JPG "I've got her address, now let's make sure this is a Fairy Lights fire that remains unsolved... alright!??"

My bold 'flying-in-the-face-of-logic-form-and-the-bleedin'-obvious' approach has fallen flatter than a Mourinho interview. Knew I was in trouble when I put his lot down to beat the scousers thinking "well they have to win a game some time...."

Predictions done despite my Viennese exile; might be the air here but I fancy a Palace and Swansea double - feck it, I'm sure to forget to do this at some point so may as well include Norwich for the trifecta.

red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hammers boss Slaven Bilic threw on Carroll for the > last 20 minutes and the home side began pumping > crosses into the box. > > Good to see the spirit of BFS lives on... :) The chaps on FF had it right - when Chelsea went a man down Bilic changed things to play wide - spread the play and stretch them - then put in crosses to a target man that were bound to pay off - it's almost football 101 when the opposition is a man down. I said this when BFS was in charge; playing the ball into the big man is only a fault when its is the default setting for everything you do.

So, 'So' is - so far - more 'so what?' than 'so there' (and so on) but is IMSO the new IMHO?

It's certainly a point of view Lou old luv - but this is work so I shall be "traipsing half way across the European continent earning cash in someone else's country." - just wanted to see if anyone had had similar experience and - after having gorged on coffee and cake and Baroque architecture - discovered other delights. GooseyG, RD & Numbers thanks - noted and googled. Numbers - I spent a short rain-soaked holiday in a caravan in Hunstanton as a child. There were piles of starfish on the beach. I never found out why.

Anyone know how to set up a food stand for the Saturday market?
maxxi replied to jhhbrook's topic in The Lounge
"Was not sure where to post this as EVERY where I post someone has a pop... " Easy answer matey - stop being a dick. I shouldn't worry too much about it though - the new site has plans to reinstate the 'hide specific users posts' so I suspect you'll be bothered a lot less. (non-ironic smiley) -

Oh I see, August is 'recently' for someone like you. This explains a good deal. And no, I didn't have to 'count' them, there's a useful thing by the side of each post, a number; and the first post in October was number 85 - see how easy that was? And the "abuse" you get (I would hardly call it that but you seem a little sensitive today) seems fully deserved to me. You are a little bit of a knob you see. -

Roadworks in Lordship Lane at end of North Cross Road
maxxi replied to Sue's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Back to LL at the end of NthX Rd and passing by one sees the Conway F*ck-Nuttery Circus is hard at work ripping up the surface of half of LL (from the Post Office to the gym) with the professionalism you'd expect if they'd all arrived in a clown car. Their traffic management is from the Chuckle Brothers School of lane closures with hapless helmetted clowns yelling "Don't stop there!!" at bus drivers allowing passengers off at a stop only recently reopened after a four month closure - a delay meaning the northbound traffic meets them head on and the clowns scurry about moving cones to allow two way traffic (briefly). Wish that popcorn stand on NthX was open - now is the perfect time for it. -

"I think his telling people not to vote did for him really" Indeed - good job we did vote now that everything has turned out for the best and we're all safe again, phew! But surely even idiots are allowed to say what they think even if it's not thought through? Even if it's just an 'expression' without a plan or logical answer - or maybe he should follow the comedian's rule book and just keep making money, tell jokes, cry on Comic Relief day until he becomes a Natinal Treasure and otherwise shut it. You'd almost think he did it just to keep people talking about him on social media sites, glad we're too- xxxxxxxx* *This user has been removed for his annual social mores adjustment at the Micky Flanagan comedy facility.
