*Bob* was mere #Bob# until twitter made his life hell and he applied for symbol reassignment. Don't let *Bob* live in shame - support "Shift Happens" and help upper-case migrants everywhere.

Absolutely. I went to a faith school and it WAS divisive. I am, naturally, compensated by being one of the chosen and safe in the knowledge that I shall be dining on rice pudding with real jam whilst you are all burning in Hull (not a typo - non believers are in for a shock) but still, wot a chiz.

Now look, Grok (aka "I agree with Foxy") I'm sick of 'the usual suspects' complaining about cliques on here, about how they gang up and share in-jokes and have exactly the same pov about EVERYTHING and probably often PM each other with who-smells-like-what jibes - and I'm NEVER included. Never put in anyone's bloody clique. What's wrong?! I wash!

If your driveling little side-kick's head wasn't so far up your rear end he may have thought better of it too before being the FIRST to name you on this thread - to which the OP understandably responds. Or does Dulas Foks have "special" dispensation? *walks away leaving open goal*

I listened live and it sounded pretty fine to me. No MOTD though so maybe I missed something?

Elvis!.. Come and have your sandwiches!"

Yes. Yes that's what the problem is. You and your blessed working class values. Oh when will the toffs loosen their grip!? My Auntie is going to die at that mill if they don't let you speak again... *weeps*

Y'see, O_B, mate, pal, etc., it's really not much fun if you can't even be bothered to put the effort in. I know it's been a long weekend and it's cold and you're bored but either plunge in with both feet or read a book. This half-arsed mimsy-cal approach is no good to anyone.

I'll respond belatedly - saw game over here and we were outplayed by TH for large parts of the game. Obviously miss Payet and lacked a finish to some promising moves; defence still a slight panicky tendency but I wasn't totally dismayed. Do think Walker is a dirty despicable c*nt though*. *This opinion may be subject to a certain amount of bias - but he's still a c*nt.

I'd like my corpse to be tied to a chair and subjected to time lapse photography so some art student can get his/her degree show underway with a bang - and have it ruined on day 57 when the caretaker's Golden Retriever sneaks in and devours what's left of my head.

Advice on a few days city break in Europe in the summer

Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Vienna - lovely, lovely city and reasonably warm > in summer. Loads and loads to do. Great beer > gardens and Austrian wine (well, the whites) are > actually rather nice. Good for day trips as well. Entering my second month here and can vouch for the above - also: EasyJet from Gatwick and good connections in town. Food/drink surprisingly cheap (ETA: The local white - Gr?ner Veltliner is nice but there are some excellent whites too and you can visit vineyards and Heurigers to taste and buy... Gemischter Satz especially good). Lots of art (not just the Baroque of which there is a great deal)and queue-on-the-day standing tickets at the State Opera for 3 Euros. Day trips to surrounding towns/villages or over to Bratislava very easy. Good integrated transport (buses, trams and underground that all announce the connections you can make - the relevant bus tram or tube number - at each stop)with a monthly pass for E48. And the weather - well it's winter but it's only just started to turn chilly - has been 18 degrees and sunny for much of last four weeks so in summer can well believe it's balmy. My other offering - Lithuania - lots to see /do (again not expensive) in Vilnius, great trips to the lakes or up to the coastal beaches, wild strawberries in the forests and day trips to Russia etc. -

In his best Sunday hat HMB tries to get to the bottom of things.... http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/1/index_htm_files/13723.jpg "Right, we've got Blah Blah, Scotchbonnet, PokerTime and DJKQ all properly hooked; camera's at the ready so now we can uncover the truth at last, altogether... A funny thing happened on the way to the forum.... "This is why we won't post on your forum Roman devil! For the last time, I am NOT Spartacus BlahBlah!"... "No, I am not BlahBlah"..... "I am not Blahblah".... "We are all not Blahblah!" etc...

The UN. Well that's alright then. Phew.

Because you can't 'see' that someone is Irish or German and real racism is - I have always thought - in the broadest sense - a belief that because a man/woman looks different to you and yours he/she is inferior and deserves to be subjected to slavery, violence and abuse. Surely it is the whole 'they are not like us' approach that underpins all racism? Makes it easier for whole populations to accept abuse against other races. The differing prejudices against other nationalities is more akin to the recent fears of Polish/Lithuanian workers taking work from 'local people' and is a xenophobia that has always been around whenever and wherever a population feels threatened by an influx of foreigners. Yes I am probably being simplistic and unsophisticated but it is the dilution of real racial abuse and discrimination that concerns me with this 'take' on what a race is defined as and the prospect of a white european charging another white european with racism dismays me somewhat.

I now have to break it to my OH that we are officially in a mixed-race relationship. I'm not sure her parents will approve - they're a bit old fashioned.
