  1. I don't give a toss about flowers but I do agree it's characterless.. Particularly if empty.
  2. Best thing would be demolish and start again. I don't know how these terrible buildings got past planning. I think they may have been hoping the people behind would want to sell some of their garden (which they didn't).
  3. Sounds like a good idea. Any pop-up food offerings?
  4. Sadly this happened before Christmas. Apparently he's working out of the back of Willow - But we've tried to reach him a few times and failed.
  5. They're horrible. Such a wasted opportunity to build something interesting in a great location.
  6. That would be good. I think if they can get some quality food offerings from pop ups it could work.
  7. Can't remember what they were, though! Crazy Golf I think. Sounds expensive. I'd like to see some cricket nets. Dulwich Park nets are always busy.
  8. Sorry to hear this. I know someone in Henley who had all the doors stolen from their Land Rover.
  9. Once a year and finishes at 7pm. Makes loads of needed money for the school. Not that bad really.
  10. Hi I'm thinking about taking singing lessons. Any teachers out there?
  11. I dread cycling along Rye Lane. I try to mostly go along Bellenden Road.

A bit like Franco's menu del dia in Spain. There's always a good cheap option.
  15. The Ivy House gets the balance right i think. Good beer and quality Sunday roasts at keen prices.

Anything for a tenner is good. For three of us I don't want a ?75 lunch bill.

I had to look that up: Multicultural London English (abbreviated MLE) is a sociolect of English that emerged in the late twentieth century. It is spoken authentically by the low classes.
