Acchhh, I feel your pain Mamora Man. I would ask tomato grower friends of yours whether you could have access to their tomato plants prior to pulling up. The majority of gardeners/allotment holders cannot be bothered with every remaining green fruit and they (the unripe tomatoes - not the gardeners!) usually end up on the compost heap. I would have given you access to mine, but our allotment has suffered terribly with tomato blight again this year - wouldn't want to give you those (yuk!). As for your burnt pan, fret not...the advice on the thread is very, very, helpful. Perseverance is key though. Good luck on both counts.

Well I'm chuffed. After nearly 2 weeks of soaking/simmering in bio-power-solution, my jam pan is finally burn free. Chiseled off the remaining charcoal today. It's bottom is a little scarred and scratched, but I reckon I won't get it much cleaner than this! A big thanks to you all for your valuable contributions.
