Being as East Dulwich is in a valley I'd say yes. Penge seems pretty flat, ED has the likes of Lordship Lane and Underhill Road.

This reminds me of about 2002, when a former CPT Legend came back from Calais with anough booze to fill his kitchen floor to ceiling. The resulting party ended up with him receiving an ASBO. Happy days

I have always avoided Bromley as much as possible. And much as I'm liking Penge, I really hate the fact it comes under Bromley.

I am sometimes guilty of assuming that people will just know when I'm taking the p!ss and forget that quite often things get lost in text.

Perception is funny isn't it. I look at Penge / Sydenham Forest Hill / Crystal Palace as all the same bit as Dulwich. Whereas Brockley / New Cross / Lewisham seem like mles away. Which of course they're not, but I guess it's down to places I'd go as a kid.

I had a similar situation. Went to work for my current employers. Agency were not too happy but think they just had to suck it up in the end. I actually felt quite bad as was on friendly terms with the agency owner, but as she said, the contract was with my new employer so her beef was with them not me.

We've bought ex council (in Penge) and whilst I was a bit nervous about estate life, I'm loving it. Southwark do seem to be a bit shit when it comes to the bills though, so defo look in to that in as much detail as you can!

I liked Lewisham LA to. Wish the border could be shifted just slightly to include Penge East.

The family room is like a totally separate forum, and has had some absolute classic threads. But I also know people that have stopped posting there.

What happened to Gingerbeer? I also know nice people who have been really put off the forum, but that doesn't mean that it's some evil place run by gang of bullies. And the whole clique thing just makes me laugh. Certain people would probably put me in a clique, but the people they'd probably put me in that clique with are people that I regularly disagree with on various threads.

Is it nonsense? I'm not saying I agree with it, but I don't think it should be dismissed. He's hardly got a record like SAF.
