  1. Oh come on, how many people on the tube / buses are wheeling cases behind them which could easily fit a load of excersise books in. My missus was a teacher, and I work with teachers every day, I'm reasonably clued up about how hard they work and how much stuff they have to take to and from work. I still have absolutely zero sympathy with them saying they can't use public transport. If they want to drive that's fine, that's their choice. Just don't try to justify it with nonsense excuses.

I wonder (hope to god) whether bhe and Sturridge might end up being a good partnership. It could happen...
  3. Car drivers in "oh my God we couldn't possibly use public transport" shocker. I work (in East London) with a woman who lives around the corner from me. I do the 45 minute journey on public transport, she takes over am hour to drive because she doesn't like busy trains. But at least she's honest about it and doesn't make up BS excuses to justify it.

Not sure what to say about Bolotelli. He's had three times as many hair styles as goals so far this season. Football amd goals aside, at least Suarez was a proper loon. Mario is just like a big toddler. And yet he has a decent track record, so I just need to keep hoping the goals will come, and tgat Sturridge gets fit quickly and doesn't take long to find his form!

I can't honestly say that I've paid too much attention to Song in the past, but perhaps he just needs to be in a team where he is "the man", which he certainly is right now. Maybe that's what he needs.
  6. Haven't seen the pic, but no, I've never had a trumpet at the football because people that do make me want to cry. I did however play trumpet as my main study instrument, so there you go.

You can't. Look at Liverpool, was last season about Rogers' tactocs and style, or just about Suarez? Is this season (so far) all about Rogers getting ot wrong, or about players not doing a job? I can't prove BFS doesn't deserve all the credit he'll no doubt take. And no one else can prove he does.
  8. Hmmm, tbread carefully LD. As a topneye surgeon whonused to lecture me once said, "lasers by their very definition burn and destroy things". They're not rubbing out the ink, they're burning it away, and that is likely to keave a trace.

Maybe, maybe not. Do you actually know how much of it is his achievement?

That's a bit crap. I don't have Sky, but would love to watch that match... Suarez to score?

It's when he says things like ?There are two types of coaches. There?s coaches like me who weigh up the opposition and ask the team to adjust. Fergie was similar. Jose [Mourinho] is similar. Then there?s Ars?ne, who won?t adjust. There?s Brendan [Rodgers], who looks like he won?t adjust. There?s Manuel Pellegrini, who looks like he won?t adjust, even in the Champions League. He seems to favour what he?s got. City are quite open." That he just comes across as an arrogant knob. Even if there is truth in what he's saying, the man's ego is just enormous!

I entered 2-1 West Ham, then thought "nah, don't be silly" and went 2-2. Damn it!!!! Really enjoyed watching them today, but AM I hink you're just trying to wind people up. BFS has been there a while, it is only now that they are playing nice football, and I honestly believe that is despite him rather than because of him. Although to give him his due, they looked really good at the back today, and I think he's probably put the steel in to the team.
  13. Reminds me of when they released the "light" 4% version. My mate said "what's that gonna be called then, child beater"?
  14. Neither of my girls would touch a balance bike, yet both are total loons on their scooters.

You could have set out some useful facts without sharing this letter. This is becoming slightly pathetic quite frankly.

This is pretty much me. Less hair, more gut, but much the same clothes. But I was never really part of a tribe, not because I was too cool for all that, but probably because I wasn't really switched on enough. When I was a teen it was all grunge, goth, or crusty. I just wanted to be rock, but was a good decade or more too young.

I honestly think I could pick the Heineken from a selection including the likes of Stella, Grolsch, Staropramen (sp?) and the like. (you drink enough of it...) Doubt I could pick between Carlsberg and Carling, but reckon I could spot the Fosters (the worst of the bunch IMO). Er if anyone wishes to sponsor this highly scientific research, I am a willing guinea pig. The things we do for the furthering of mankind.

Because you have to laugh... From the beeb "Liverpool 0-3 Real Madrid Posted at 20:29 Liverpool fans can remember Istanbul with fondness now. Liverpool came from 3-0 down to Carlo Ancelotti's AC Milan side in 05 - could they do it again? Rickie Lambert is on the bench.." Made me chuckle. Glad I don't have Sky.
  19. Wonderful stuff. Made 15 years before I was born, but still brought back lot of memories from childhood in the 80s. Had forgotten about all the prefabs, there used to be loads around East Dulwich.

Because I've generally had the dishwater, which is why I stick to my tried and tested lager.
  21. For my part I've just never really got on withr real ale. I don't like lager too gassy but I do like some fizz and I like it cold. Real ale just makes me feel a bit sick. And I'm not putting it down, to each their own. Just wish that those who think you're sone sort of thug if you drink lager (rather that wine, cider or real ale) would be as tolerant of other people's tastes. As I said before, Heineken does it for me. Nice and crisp.

  23. Carling, Carlsberg and especially Fosters give me hiccups.
  24. I always like a Heineken.
