  1. Wehey, party politics on the EDF.
  2. LFC Club shop - ED Branch?
  3. Yeah you're probably right, usually when you see rocket there's heaps of the bloodly stuff on the plate.

Good point, well made. I was so desperate to get it in ther that I sort of forgot my own thread title. And it was their debut for me. Own 2 or 3 others, but that's my favourite.
  5. Another thumbs down for rocket. Horrid bitter stuff.
  6. And this one, whilst not typical of the rest of the (very good) album, it certainly got my attention!
  7. May as well get it out the way now.
  8. buggie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't understand how such high figures can be > put on land for sale from those providing public > service to those providing public service Until I read the next line I was about to say "this is Southwark we're talking about, the council responsible for Heygate". And then you wrote > - is someone trying to catch up after the Heygate > scandal?! In seriousness though, in my experience, a local authority is far from being one big happy family, and different departments will happily mug other departments to balance their own books. And that's within an authority, so to expect them to be different for anyone else (whilst desirable) is probably a pipe dream.
  9. It's the first impression you get of a band when you hear their debut album. It can grab you or you can go "meh". What has grabbed you? Being as it's the song that gave me the idea for the thread (think I've done this on facebook before, but don't THINK it's been done on here) I'll start with... (best played loud) Love the bass line.
  10. I loved the Killers first album, but (for me) they've gone down hill ever since. In fact my favourite song of theirs is the opening track on the debut album, so they've literally gone downhill from there. Ooooooo, new thread.
  11. There were minutes of a council meeting a coupmer of years back saying Waitrose were after the Greyhound site in sydenhamw. That was also a load of bollocks.
  12. Dulwichborn&bred if you support Charter thatsr cool, but you shouldn't not support HABS because James is "behind it" because he's not really behind it as such. A parents steering group came to the conclusion that it was their preferred provider.
  13. Totally agree with LM. James does lots of good stuff, but when asked a direct question that he doesn't like the answer to he will show us just whst a "good" (if good is being like all the rest) politician he's shaping up to be, and avoid answering it completely.
  14. Renata whatshername (another councillor) is totally against the primary on the hospital site Loz.
  15. Even though a primary school isn't needed there and local parents (and more significantly) Nunhead parents do not want or need another primary school, especially on that site? Harris got local support (rightly) for the police station, trying to use that support to slip another one on the hospital site stinks. And just because the space "required" could in theory fit in to the land, does not mean that it would work in reality. James has done lots of great work locally and especially in workingr towards the secondary school for the hospital site. But I have no idea why he's tarnishing that by supporting this stupid stupid unpopular idea.

  17. I was raised in a real Sunday roast around the table household, and I sometimes take my kids to my mum's for this which is lovely. I agree, the whole family around the table thing is a good thing, and I wish we did it more, but we just don't sit down and eat together.
  18. Not your fault Dopamine1979, EP has moved the goal posts so many times in this thread that it now resembles Aussie rules.

Not my kind of rest, but different folks and all that.
  20. Relatively compared to what would be the question.
  21. It's the washing up that puts me off. Seems far too much work after a meal which toom a few minutes to eat.
  22. I always assumed ot was because they were being kept warm under a heat lamp or something.
  23. Tracy Chapman Wonderful voice, but after two songs I'm totally bored. I guess it's good afternoon festival music.
