  1. But I know Alan isn't a troll. That's not even slightly the same. Anyway, you're right about bad losers Alan, I seem to recall it all kicked off at Trafalgar Square when we lost in the semis of Euro 96 (aw happy happy days - not the loss obviously).
  2. Fair enough, but all I really meant was if you wamt to boo England you should go and meet the nice chaps that ratty jad to rescue the Croatian guy from. I wasn't seriously encouraging anyone to boo England. Obviously something lost in translation, apologies.
  3. What I was going to say was "why do you think?" Come on Alan, I'm sure you can work it out. Stop trying to stir, it's irksome.

    Haha, good lad.
  5. I can't be bothered with the pub, I never see very well and I spend a fortune. Got a mate coming round for tonight's match.
  6. I mean I really don't like Wayne Rooney, and I think Danny Welbeck is shit (plus they're both Man U), but if they are playing then I wanr them to do well because it's not about them as individuals. Although I admit I want to see the Liverpool players do well. But as much as I live Suarez in a Liverpool shirt I'll certainly be hoping he has an unspectacular tournament (even more so if it means clubs don't try to buy gin afterwards).
  7. Yeah of course. That's different to just booing them because they are them.
  8. I got a copy which I probably won't bother sending baxk but certainly won't be looking at. What did strike me was that it only feels about 10 pages thick.
  9. Because if you don't want your country to win that's fair enough (but a bit sad), but if you actively boo them then you're a bit of a arse in my opinion. Yes the England team is made up of overpaid tossers, as is almost any top level football team in the world. During the Olympics in 2012 or Wimbledon last year or The Ashes (when we won) there is a feel good factor. I would love to feel that if England won. They won't of course, but I want to enjoy the ride and tey to feel positive for a change. I'm loving this so far, had a great evening last night just me the telly and a few cans.

For all those who are English ho intend to boo England, go to the pub and be loud and proud about your feelings. Please.
  11. Yes. There are 32 teams in the tournament, they've won the last couple, let's see someone else burst on to the scene. I am aware this is very unlikely to be England BTW.
  12. I almost feel sorry for Spain. But it's not like they've been starved of glory.

To be fair, if Barca don't want him and Arsenal don't want him, you can hardly blame him for going elsewhere.
  14. It was meant to be light hearted. But I still agree with those posters that suggest supporting two separate bids seems very silly. The fact that there are 2 bids each supported by a number of people will show that there is a lot of support for a secondary school.
  15. With all the riots going on, could you imagine if he'd sent Neymar off? Anyway, I've just found out my other 2 teams (along with Nigeria), and I've ended up with Switzerland and Belgium, so won't be holding my breath.

  17. Haha, that bloke was well in to the footy last night, he seems to have some sort of drum which he was happily banging away (he was supporting Brazil). I don't think I'm going to need to volume up on my telly tomorrow night, as he is plenty loud enough for the both of us. He seems a nice guy though, and I'm finding it slightly infectious.
  18. Agreed, if I had the money I'd do it.
  19. And I've gone for an England win over Italy. So there!
  20. Now done my predictions. And as I did, I realised that I haven't got a clue.
  21. Penalty decision aside, Croatia and Brazil's keepers both looked suspect last night.

  23. You can't tar everyone with the same brush, but to suggest there isn't plenty of pure greed out there is equally stupid surely.
  24. I haven't actually done any predictions which probably explains my standing.
  25. Agreed! Plus the cynic in me suspects that littlek1cker won't be so quick to urge Charter supporters to support both behind closed doors. It's a smart move, tell the opposition to support both whilst you stick to your own. Of course that could be a nonsense, but given recent activity it wouldn't come as a shock.
