I don't think Louisa put any energy in to this at all. Can't blame her, it was a non starter really.
  4. There has always (well in my lifetime anyway) been events held on the Green, but I must say that people using it to sit in the sun / throw a frizbee / whatever, is a recentish thing. Not saying it's right or wrong, just an observation.
  5. And for the record, when you get off the Jubilee at Canning Town you take the esculator up to the raised platform, and get DLR towards Woolwich Arsenal (not Beckton, which stops at the same platform).
  6. That will defo be your best route. I work very close to the airport, so do this journey daily.

    Hipsters

I've been covering my overabundance of chin with a beard for years. When I saw NMH we were stuck at the back so I can't be absolutely sure of what the crowd at the front were doing, but I definitely had the impression the crowd were a bit dead We were jumping around but it didn't catch on.
  8. What a punch! Managed to see the second half of it on a dodgy live feed. I'm not sure I believe Froch's claim that he was working Groves around for that punch, I think he just gor the opening and took it.

It's an opinion, like I'd say to someone in a pub, but on a local forum. It's not like I'm starting a Facebook page.

Isn't someone following a hipster trend, by definition not a hipster?

Keane may not have ended Harland's career, but that was more by luck than judgement. The fact Harland's leg wasn't planted saved him from something very nasty and intent was there. On this I am totally with PD, the man is a cunt. If someone tries to shoot you in the head but misses the mark and you survive, it doesn't excuse the shooter.
  13. Ah yes, think you're right. Last Ninja, this person seems to subscribe to the RUN AWAY technique.
  14. YES The Last Ninja! Was trying to remember them. I never had them but used to play on my friend's C64. Summer/Winter Games were fun but I was shit at the surfing.
  15. If you have a spare 7 hours.
  16. Tau Ceti, now you're talking! Although I used to crash a lot whilst trying to dock.

I also had that game (BERT!!!!) and like you, never really got anywhere with it.

    Yeah but he's still a cunt ;-)
  21. Amstrad CPC 464, NES, SNES (although I was ALWAYS round my mate George's house playing megadrive too), N64, Fling with PC '98-'00, Gamecube (thanks Mockers), Wii, Xbox 360, Phones. Also played a lot of original play station and PS2 at my mate George's gaff. I basically used to be round his most evenings throughout school and early to mid 20s.
  22. Mortal Kombat was cool, but SF2 just jad a special something.

But play them for any amount of time? > Nah All in all you're probably right, but when I was playing loads of old console games on my phone a while back there were some games that did make me think nothing feels this exciting anymore. Early Zelda games, Mario 2 & 3, Super Metroid (you can tell I was a Nintendo kid), and no fighting game will ever beat Street Fighter 2! Yes Mario 64 was a HUGE step forward, and WOW!!!, But something about those 8 / 16bit games was just great, because they couldn't rely on pretty graphics and sound to make you feel like you were there.
