Although nowhere is what I'd call reasonable. It's friggin impossible to save anything significant whilst paying these rents.

Bit gutted Liverpool couldn't take the 3 points today. At half time I'd have been happy enough with a point, but after coming back to 2-2 Liverpool were battering their goal. That said, my heart nearly stopped at one point when it looked like they might catch us on the break. Shame we couldn't put more pressure on Arsenal though by getting the 3 points. On the bright side, I predicted 2-2.

  4. And in the break they advertised an 8 part series called "Sports life stories" (starting on Tuesday) one if which will ve about Chris Eubank. In the trailer he said "I lost my instinct to finish", something I've never heard the man himself talk about, even though it was obvious to all of us watching him.
  5. Behind closed doors documentary just started on ITV4 about Ricky Hatton's failed comeback.
  6. Woolwich good for transport links, and lots of new housing. But having worked there from 2002 - 2009, I'm not sure I'd want to live there. Charlton is a mixed bag basically. Think we'll be looking at Norwood and Anerley. Feel your pain though, we're in the same boat exactly... Except I don't get a music studio unfortunately, that will be the kid's room.
  7. "I don't want to say hello to XX because I'm very shy" This suggests to me that you should definitely not make a thing of it, because he's picked up on it. I have 2 girls, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Older one is very outgoing, younger one very shy. They've had the same input from the same people since birth. I think it's partly just personality, but mainly just development. I wouldn't worry about it for now.
  8. Could the increase simply be a result of more people realising they're actually there, and professionals making more referrals that they would have done in previous years had they known it was an option.
  9. Early bird catches the word Steveo. Now the winder is drawing in, the mornings are dark too. I can do a split shift and sleep during sunlight hours.
  10. As a mugger, I find this forum very useful. It tells me where my fellow muggers have been working, and so I know that people will be on their toes in those areas, and avoid them for a while until people have relaxed back in to a more nonchalant, and thus vulnerable state. Thanks EDF, keep up the good work. I'll be watching...

    Bleak Expectations is wonderfully silly.
  13. And although I'm hoping it will help me to buy, it certainly won't help my to vote tory! ;-)

It has it's annoying programmes, but you just turn off / over. All in all, the quality is good. I like "from our own correspondent" Usually on whilst I'm pottering around the kitchen on a Saturday morning.
  15. "I don't think help to buy (help to vote) is a factor outside the bottom end of the market. There can't be many people buying 600k houses who only have a 5% deposit and ?150k salary. But I could be wrong." I don't know, this could be a way for a lot of people to move up the ladder a bit. Something which, as has been pointed out by others, isn't as easy as it once was.

I like R4 most of the time.
  17. But as it is, we're going to have to scour the likes of Penge and Anerly for a shoe box for 250 or less.

  19. It's mental. End of. And what gets me is that people are so desperate to live in ED they're willing to pay these prices. I mean ED is cool, and I love it as home, but if I had ?800k, there is no way I'd spend it on a terrace in ED.
  20. Scotland are suing him, as they have exclusive rights to dourness.
  21. Labour brought in guidelines, but they were scapped last year http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-17250653 THE ONLY good thing Gove has done!
  22. You get nights out!?!?!?
  23. I quite like him too.
  24. Yep, Sydenham prices are climbing pretty fast, so you got in at a good time. But ED is in another league. Much as I love ED, I will never understand why anyone would pay the prices to live there that they are currently paying, it's mental!
