  1. Cliquey twats as far as I'm concerned, never liked them.
  2. It's free to watch on your PC or smart phone. If you want it on the telly you need to pay.
  3. Forgive me, but are you not worrying a bit much about this at this atge. It's year 1, they're 5! I agree with Curmudgeon about homework, especially for infants.

Hmm, one of those where luck runs out. Torres arguably lucky to stay on the pitch earlier on, but then desperately unlucky to go the way he did. And before he went, Chelsea were looking like the side who might win it.
  5. I've gone for Liverpool to beat Sunderland, but you never know with the manager gone, and the players probably feeling a lot more relaxed...
  6. But if he only watches one match a weekend, he's better off taking ?20 down the pub!
  7. BT only have one match every weekend, usually the early kick off on Saturday (12:30). So if he's well in to his footy, keep Sky! And having been driven to the point of a breakdown by BT Customer Services recently, I'd not recommend them to anyone! Although their infinity broadband is good, I'll give them that.
  8. The world according to old parish maps. Half of Peckham is in East Dulwich.
  9. Oooo, we've moved in to songs? Cool. So characters from films, books, telly, or songs.
  10. Yep, if everyone that wishes they could be a fly on the wall actually could be, they'd have to call pest control in!
  11. I feel like I should know this, but I can't think of anything.
  12. I broke my (dominant) arm at a similar age, and had an L shape cast not to the shoulder, but above the elbow. Obviously the tennis and swimming are out, but I think you'll find that as he gets used to it in the first week or 2, he'll be able to manage most things. Is it on for 6 weeks, or longer?
  13. Word!
  14. Agree, horror stories aside, even for the average person, you are knackered (and I'm the bloke), you are emotional and you are over awed. In short, you are vulnerable, and you should be protected from fucking sales reps hassling you!

The "God songs" bit is something we're very keen to hear about (my wife is quite concerned that she's going to have it shoved down her neck because the head seems like a bit of a nutter to be honest), but she's not mentioned that at all. The other day she came out with a gold star on her jumper, and all I could get was that the teacher gave it to her. I so desperately wanted to know what for! I think I'll be a happier person if I just try not to think about her at school and we just see each other at the dinner table.
  16. Oh dear. My daughter is knackered (hurrah!). Her little sister on the other hand... I guess they tell you what is important to them. I've been told that her friend fell over and cried (very sad indeed) which must be a big deal for her. But if I ask "did you do painting or read books"? Nadda! She either just says "yes" to everything, or more annoyingly she'll look at me, smile then just start repeating the same word, and laughing as I look more and more like I want to throttle her (she knows that repeating things over and over does my head in, and she likes this power! For a 4 year old, my daughter is a proper p!ss taker.
  17. That made me think of this
  18. Is your son the eldest / only child? My 2 year old is a late July baby, but she's the younger sister (her sister was 4 in April and has just started school). Even though the older one is nearly 4.5, she still seems so little to be going to school. I think the younger one will be raring to go in a couple of years time though.

  20. And perhaps more to the point, how are YOU getting on with your little one being in reception?!?!? And do you get ANY info from them about their school day? I think my daughter is happy enough, and the staff say she's fine, but she tells me NOTHING!!! It's like shes been at the Mason's Lodge all day, and I am not party to the knowledge of what goes on behind those closed doors. Worst of all, she knows that I'm desperate to know, and she loves not telling me! Little COW!
  21. Yeah, Nunhead is basically no man's land between New Cross, Brockley and Peckham. It doesn't deserve it's own postcode.

No idea about regulations, but I know a couple of people who have had the wood burning stoves in the area in the last couple of years, and never had any problems.
  23. Cross post with Jeremy. So basically, what Jeremy said.
  24. Even if at one time, East Dulwich stretched in to what is now Peckham, boundaries change. You are the only person in 2013 that uses CofE Parishes to define borders. SE15 is Peckham. Everyone except for you basically gets that. You shouldn't be ashamed John, embrace your Peckham roots!
