  1. This thread has gone a bit mental since my last visit! What buggie said. She is wise.
  2. Pickle I totally agree with your post, but I'm still not ever buying a Barbie doll. What worries me is when my daughter says "cars are for boys, and somethingorother is for girls". This is a very recent thing, and something sghe's clearly picked up. I just don't want that sort of thing getting ingrained in her mind, so we say "toys are for everybody", and hope she believes us.
  3. Are there a lot of funeral parlours then? I can only think of the Co-Op.
  4. I can't believe that people actually dressed as Disney princesses on BOOK day. We had planned to send our girl as funny bones, but when it came to it she flatly refused to get dressed up, and that was the end of that.

  6. My nearly 4 year old has just recently started talking pink, and asking to wear a dress. It must be the influence of preschool, where there are a few proper little princesses. We are doing our best to keep her interested in other stuff, but when all the little girls at school like something, it's going to be difficult to avoid. I am determined that no Barbie doll will ever enter my home though!

For the most part jazz has no place in public. I do like a bit of trad though, the sort of thing they were playing in that "Dacing on the edge" series on BBC recently.

I tend to agree that it sounds like someone has put them there on purpose. What an utter cunt!

Click that and a few options come up. One is "embed". Click that and it gives you some code to paste straight in to your post on here. That will put the video in your post rather than just a link.
  11. There goes my cup final plan.

  13. A life size replica of the original CPT pkease, so that me and my dad can sit at the bar and grunt occasionally.
  14. I'm an Izzard fan, bit I stick by my earlier comment that he peaked years ago PGC I don't get Harry Hill either, have never found him funny. Although he seems a nice bloke. I don't watch many panel shows, but I do watch 8 out of 10 because Sean Lock and Jon Richardson always seem to give me a couple of good laughs.
  15. Agree with Rosie. MF has had me really laughing, and he's had me saying "yeah yeah". Agree about PK too, I quite enjoyed the show with the garlic bread bit (was it blackpool?), but other than that it's boring. Has anyone seen Jon Richardson do stand up? I like him on 8 out of 10 cats, but not seen his stand up stuff.
  16. Well there you go, there will be a clear winner between Jah and I for sure.
  17. Lenny Henry was great in his prime, and "Live and Unleashed" still makes me laugh because it was him at his best, and it takes me back. To be fair to him, I don't think he even tries being a comedian anymore. But yeah, I don't think I'd rush to see him iof he announced a stand up tour tomorrow.
  18. I assume we're doing 90 minute scores? Blackburn 1 v Millwall 1 (Millwall win on pens) Chelsea 2 v Man Utd 1
  19. I like The Office a lot. Extras make me laugh a bit, but just thought he was playing the same character. I agree with KK that deadpan and sarcasm are great in comedy (Les Dawson was a God!), but RG just doesn't do it well. Loved Jack Dee in the mid to late 90s. That's how you do deadpan, and that stuff still makes me laugh. Like hearing him host "I'm sorry, I haven't a clue" these days. Eddie Izzard peaked with Dress to Kill in 98 or 99. A perfect stand up show IMO, better than anything he's done since. Sean Lock cracks me up. Got a DVD of his a couple of years ago, which I found disappointing. However, "Lockipedia" was a great show. Like Chris Rock too.
  20. If she's down to just at night, I'd leave it and see how she gets on.
  21. "Otta - I do want to post in the family room too... Just wanted to check with admin I was allowed too! " I did it for you, and damn the consequences! ;-)
  22. I know AllyCat who has started this thread, she's cool. Thought she might get more of a response from you family room types. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,1065503
  23. So, are Celtic pleased about the prospect of feeding their best young players to teams like Spurs then?
  24. Respect to Hopkins! Looks like Frank Warren is on the decline. Groves left to go to Hearne, Burns has left and looks like going to Hearne. All he has is Cleverly, and to be honest, Cleverly's career so far hasn't exactly been well managed. Is Frank's time up? Lets hope so!
  25. Bloody hell, looks like Everton are on their way out. Didn't see that one coming.
