  1. Robbie Savage's BBC Column with his take on the Tackle and Wigan in general http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21823415 I have grown to quite like RS as a pundit.
  2. burn it, blame faulty wiring, sue!
  3. "New festivals - clean middle class hippies with their tops on flogging dream catchers to victims, student ket casualties, scousers ransaking your tent 24/7, dogs with bejewweld collars, heavy private security presence, shit music, mumford and @#$%& sons, screaming kids running amok at 2AM, drizzle, everyone wearing designer wellies, organic vegan noodles @ ?10 a pop, designer cup cakes, shitty pop up tents in Union Jack colours" You just can't argue with that! And you're right *bob*, my best years are behind me. I've done my time man!!! I'm sure when my kids are older I'll have a second coming, and be the bald fat bastard with his top off sweating pure lager.
  4. Oh TT, you wouldn't be one of the annoying people, because I know you.
  5. And yes, I'm sure I've been one of these annoyances over the years.
  6. Haha, well said Woodrot! I just find that I have absolutely no inclination to go to a festival anymore. Too many fucking annoying people cooped up in the one space.
  7. Knobhead is best used by scousers, pronounced knob'ed.
  8. No idea where you live, but if you can get overground, I'd get that to Canada Water, then Jubilee to Westminster.

Did the foreign players in the team > have the same problems I was joking about the training ground, but now you mention it, Owen was never the party animal type, he just done a hamstring too young, and had problems from then on. RE foreign players at that time, we did have a few who spent quite a lot of time injured.
  10. We don't drive (I can't because of eye sight, and Mrs Otta has never learnt. Generaly not a big deal, and hasn't stopped us doing anything. But some things would definitely be easier, and my wife is planning to learn so that we could hire a car for trips as and when. Definitely won't be buying a car, as I think it's just too big a cost to run it.
  11. So Michael Owen has finally decided to officially retire. Don't think he had much choice, as his body just won't let him carry on. A shame as I'd always hoped against hope that he'd rediscover his fitness and form and have another couple of great seasons in him. I didn't even hate him for going to Man U! He's not short of cash, and has plenty going for him, but I do feel sympathy for a career that could have been so much more for him and for England. Had he been fit over the years I believe he's have smashed England goal scoring records! Don't know what Roy Evans and his staff were doing in training back in the mid 90s, but Robbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp and Michael Owen were all veruy good players who basically got trashed by injuries. Speaking of which, Jamie Redknapp talks about England / iNJURIES http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3841/world-cup-2014/2013/03/19/3837281/england-dont-care-once-youre-injured-says-jamie-redknapp
  12. Its just relentless, no time to celebrate. By the time she's finished saying "excellent", I've been hit by the next thing!
  13. That is fucking hard!!! Managed 12 21 within about 20 goes, but then it gets silly!
  14. Have downloaded it on to my phone. Yet to try though.
  15. God awful tackle, but I don't think it was a Roy Keane moment, I think it was just a dangerous tackle that he got completely wrong.
  16. I'm talking PL. Thought it was 2. Either way, still no need to be defeatist.
  17. It's only 2 losses Jah, not the end of the world.
  18. Lots of good schooks Eliot Babk is cery popular. Personally I didn't lije the vibe when I looked, it seemed too big sonehow, but that's just me. We'll be finding out next month where our older daughter will be going in September. Scary!

    Not especially.
  21. On that we agree.
  22. The photo is pretty much how I remember it from when I was a kid. I can't remember it not being there, but I wold have been 7 when it was done if it was 1985. Thanks for putting the photo up, it's cool! And yeah, way better than the stick men, although they're okay.
  23. Liverpool could really do with an injury to Joe Allen!
  24. My favourite heckle response was an old jack Dee one back when he was doing the John Smith's TV ads. Someone shouted "where's your ladybird", and he said "she's in the dressing room. Why, where's your self respect?".
  25. The urge can't be "cured", but a person can be trained to ignore it. Don't get me wrong, if someone touches a kid they should be punished, but I do wish there was somewhere people could go to seek help. Instead we have "string 'em up" all over the press, so anyone who did have that kind of urge is likely to keep it very much to themselves, and in some cases it will eventually boil over until they act on it
