  1. Haha, had just realised that Quids meant that Schofield. But he works for ITV.

    That's just Jessie J's fault.
  3. Sorry but who is Schofield? (just looked at bbc but didn't see his name)
  4. The rock bit won't be satisfied in ED I'm afraid.

Pretty damning stuff. MOTD is good though ;-)
  6. AM I think that is my favourite ever post of yours!
  7. Yeah, but there is nothing new that hasn't already been said a million times. If there is an actual update, great, but otherwise it's just a waste of time. And I think I'm on the same "side" as you.
  8. You do realise this radio programme has just hiked house prices up a few grand.

We used to do a weekly predictions game with cash prize at the end of the season. She put 2-1 for EVERY single game (she said she knew nothing at all about footy so it seemed the easiest way). She didn't win, but she was pretty high up the league.
  10. I'm kicking off a 4 week break on Monday 19th (too much going on before then, no point even trying!). I am dreading it.
  11. A friend of mine had a problem a couple of years ago where he was chucking up all this orangey vomit. It turned out that the valve that keeps the acid in the stomache had eroded and so acid was getting up in to his system. The valve regenerates, so not a permanant issue. No idea whatsoever if this could be a similar thing, but the brownish vomit made me think of it.
  12. Will definitely have a think and ask my wife if she has any suggestions...
  13. Very good point. I understand them wanting these issues to go through the law, but to just jump and report things to the police without actually waiting for any facts does make them look pretty stupid.
  14. First time I've been in this section in ages, and shock horror, this thread is still going, and now 36 pages. Good to know the important issues are being discussed :-S
  15. I love the way people ignore the "underbelly" of Clapham.
  16. Exactly! Peter Herbert would argue that Jewish people have complained about the chants, but I suspect these are non football supporters who don't really realise the contaxt in which it is being used.
  17. Hi Kim, have you thought about the Sydenha, area? Quite a lot of things closed when Surestart funding was cut a while back, and we could do with some more groups to go to. Lots of little kids around the area, so sure you'd get the numbers. I'd certainly recommend you!
  18. No I guess not, but you could argue that Spurs supporters chanting Yid Army (historically at least) is comparable to black guys calling each other the N word in a claiming it back kind of way.

  21. What are peoples thoughts on Peter Herbert and the Society of Black Lawyers deciding to turn attentions to Spurs and the Yid Army chants? For me, I think this particular case is very different, it's historic, and it was said in defiance at abuse from other fans. I know that not everyone who chants it is Jewish, but it's part of the club's unique identity. Peter Herbert is quite rightly using recent news stories to highlight certain things and make sure that things are dealt with by the law, but I think he's overreaching here to be honest.

Lewisham supported us, and more to the point my wife, through 3 miserable miscarriages, and they could not have been more kind and supportive! I know many others who have had similar experiences.
  23. Of course it's great that there are less fires, but the fact is that fires do still happen, and my concern would be that the nearest fire stations were shut down, and by the time anyone got to my burning house, it was too late. And lets not forget that a lot of people rent, and whilst landlords do have some responsibilities like checking the gas regularly, they are not going to go to the expense of fire proofing your house unless the law forces them to.

I was joking about there being one from every party there next year. 2. Totally agree, public includes many a moron. I hope she goes on about "20 weeks", and I hope someone there argues well with her and makes her look like the tw@t she undoubtedly is.
