Up against what? Please explain. I'm not personalising, you seem to follow me around the forum and try to start things on threads that you haven't ever posted on (example the denmark hill thread). I am not ashamed of anything I've ever said about Hillsborough, and feel every bit as much sympathy for the families as anyone else. You often read my posts, then try to tell me what I meant by them, and start something. I didn't want this thread to become a slanging match, I have always found the whole hillsborough subject both sad, and interesting on an impersonal level. That is the reason I started this thread, and you are the reason it is now disrespectful. -
Hi Admin, please could you lock or hide the Hillsborough thread in the lounge? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,258324,page=1 I started it to have a discussion which today I'd put in the drawing room. It was meant as a serious question, to be discussed without going in to whether the disaster was a bad thing, but it's clearly too emotive to be discussed that way. In recent days I asked for it to be closed, but then I backtracked, because I stumbled across an interview on the radio which was relevent to my original question. I wish I hadn't back tracked now, because now it seems to be going down a road that a thread about a disaster really shouldn't be going down. I've been accused of not respecting the families and their loss, but it is because I very much do that I don't want that thread turning in to a pathetic point scoring / insult throwing mess. As the OP, I'd be grateful if you could just put an end to it.

I don't feel shit for starting it, I just feel shit that you are using it to continue your quest for a row. -
As KK says, the phone apps are great. Helps to decide whether you can squeeze a last pint in.

Very harsh on Hart! The player was gutted about losing, surely that is what you want, and as far as I'm aware he only blamed "the team" and "us", it's not like he singled out a specific player and had a go.

Anna would have been about 8 at the time. She posts as a very loyal match going Liverpool fan. Had the Anna of today been there, her blood alcohol level definitely would have been high! ;-) I'm 99% sure she wasn't there that day thank God. We've chatted about it, and I've been honest with her about not "getting" the fans feelings about it, and she said it was something the match going fans really felt, so we accepted that then got pissed. Sorry to speak for you Anna. -
And one just next to Dulwich Park, on Dulwich Common.

Hey, New Cross is one place I have most definitely "done". Spent most weekends of my teens in either The Venue, The New Cross Inn, The Amersham Arms, or The Rose Inn (now a hobgoblin or something). It was very rough around the edges in those days, but now it seems a bit more up and coming. -

Okay, what woodrot said. I should have stuck with my earlier request, it was just the coincidence of them being on the radio that led me to post again. Error! -

I'll let people listen to her if they're interested, and make their own minds up. -

Actually, getting back to the original question, I've just heard Jenny Hicks & Margaret Aspinall on Radio 4. Jenny Hicks always comes across as very calm and collected, although obviously still suffering. Margaret Aspinall always comes over as the angry one (understandably), I guess that shows how different people cope. Anyway, MA said they intended to have their lawers write to every individual police officer who's statement was changed, and wanted them named and shamed, as she felt they knew their statements had been altered, and they should have come forward. She definitely has a point, but equally, we have no idea what sort of internal preesure these people were put under to keep quiet. Either way, it looks like Justice will mean EVERYONE not just those at the top being somehow punished. Jenny Hicks just seemed much more interested in the fact the truth was out, and wanting the inquest repoened. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mqm9d -
LegoLawer who started this thread has apparently posted 3 times opn the forum. Only 1 of those posts appears visable (the opening post of this thread, which s/he has not returned to since). A good effort in trolling. Agree, let this one go away.

Admin could you hide this thread please. I started it years ago to ask a question that genuinely interested me, i.e. what would need to happen for the families to feel that justice had been done. Apparently this is too emotive a subject for some people to discuss, which is fair enough. Now though Atticus is acting like a dog who thinks he has a juicy bone, and has dredged this up simply to find a reason to argue with someone. -

Is New Cross trendy? It's changed since my day then! -
Haha, it was your use of the word juvenile that I was particularly agreeing with.
-
That is a stereotype, but stereotypes always exist for a reason, and to deny that there are quite a few youths that fit that description in that area is just denial. Was it definitely someone like that? No, and KK probably should not assume. Is there a reasonable chance it was someone like that? Yes! This whole thread is based on assumptions and rumour, and I think I'll leave it now, because there is a nasty undertone starting to surface.
-
Yes KK made an assumption which may or may not be correct. To go from that to calling him a racist is over reaching IMO.
-
pk I am not naive, I think you shouldn't be chucking allegations of racism at people in an effort to make yourself look so enlightened.

How much do you pay for electricity and gas? Am I being ripped off?

"Mr Saff and I are in an old victorian house, and it leaks heat like a sieve! Alas, we're only renters. Otherwise we'd make some serious changes. " Exactly the same here. Our house is very hot in summer, and freezing in winter. Once the heating is off, the house is cold again in minutes! Very annoying. -
How can you say KK is racist from what he has said? It's not like the shop keepers he's supporting are white British skin heads is it. Stupid unnecessary comment.
