Some of the specifics that have come out today have indeed been shocking. Not surprising exactly, but to see it all there in black & white... Frankly it's amazing they didn't destroy every last one of the files and blame it on a fire or something. Can't see how they could possibly deny a new investigation now.

I have seen children in The Castle too, but then again, I was taken to the pub as a kid, kids in pubs have been around for ever, but in the past, they'd be sat in the corner with a lemonade and some crisps.

I completely agree, but once the nice independent shops have come and opened, and made an area very popular, then the rents go up and the independents that made the area popular get priced out.

The Castle is on Crystal Palace Road, junction with Goodrich. Proper old skool pub, used to be a dive, but a lot nicer these days, whilst still being very much an old fashioned boozer. Pretty much the only one left, and the last stand of all the old CPT regulars (which is why I sometimes go, as the CPT was my boozer).

Usually I don't particularly agree with David about mass produced food, but on this occasion, a very big What David Said! Only been once, and was looking forward to it. I left wondering why everyone was still raving about it having eaten the same stuff I'd just eaten.
