  1. Really don't get why people are so wound up about old graves. When you're dead, you're dead. Why do people feel they should have a right to take up precious land by being buried. Once you're dead, your body is a worthless sack of bones, get over it.
  2. Foxy I agree that when off the booze it's hard to find a satisfactory drink to have. I love ginger beer, but my teeth rot!
  3. Chocolate and beer should never be combined. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!!! And by that I mean even eating chocolate and then drinking beer is horrible. 2 things that my taste buds just do not want to mix. I appreciate that my taste will be different to others'.

Discuss. I can confirm that if you were born late 70s, your parents didn't listen to any popular music (and were older parents for the time), and the first thing you saw him do was "Dancing in the street" with Jagger, you probably felt a bit creeped out by him. I certainly did. Bit grew to like him, just nowhere near on the level of those 10 - 20 years my senior.
  5. And the OP was moaning about food and value back in September, so why were you even bothering?
  6. OP seems to have an agenda. The title of this thread should be changed to "FYI No kids in Cherry Tree after 7pm". The line "As a side, the food isn?t good enough to get a babysitter for" just makes it sound like you want to put the boot in to this businness, I wonder why you went there in the first place. And the bar and restaurant are not toally seperate, it's one big space with some dividers. You could be eating in the restaurant and be sitting 3ft away from someone drinking in the bar. So simple really, either pay for a babysitter and go out, or stay in in the evenings. That's what being a parent is.

He didn't hang around at Southampton once spurs came in. Can't see him turning down one of the giants. Spurs lucky with that penalty today.
  8. So no one heard anything yesterday then?

As a Liverpool fan, I have more or less written this season off. Luck doesn't seem to be on our side injury wise. I am hoping for a push for top 4 (though not holding my breath), then hoping Klopp can attract some real quality in the summer and show us what he can really do as a manager next season. I am still desperate for United to sack LVG and appoint Rafa until the end of the season!!!
  10. Proof that the good people of ED have far too much spare cash.
  11. Hamstead Heath, Blackheath, Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common. All large areas of land where big festival type affairs would work. Peckham Rye is a patch of grass in comparison.
  12. Yeah, you can't really argue with the fact they were the most influential band ever. I guess for some people who were there at the time, it became a bit grating when theybstaryed taking themselves far too seriously though. To be honest it's probably similar to the reasons we all hate Chris Martin.
  13. Also,on a thread called UNPOPULAR music opinion,it's a bit harsh to have a go at someone for voicing an opinion you disagree with. I don't agree with Louisa about The Beatles, but do agree that there were probably plenty of equally talented people around at the time but The Beatles were VERY well managed which put them in a very good position. And totally agree With Jeremy about the status of Lennon and McCartney.
  14. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Oooh, there goes one right there. Eric Clapton, > possibly the most overrated guitarist ever. I'm no Clapton fan, but he's a very good guitarist and a blues man. If BB King says so, that's good enough for me. Doesn't mean he's not a dick though.

  16. Milli Vanilli - Ugly bastards
  17. Adele, poor man's Winehouse.
  18. Nirvana - Load of self obsessed skag head angst.
  19. Liverpool's entire first 11 out with hamstring injuries. DHFC to be promoted, and attendances to plummet when people realise they can't drink outsde at the matches anymore. Late Knights to FINALLY open their long awaited pub in Penge (pleeeeeeeease!!!!!!).
  20. They also have an arch made of a whale's jaw bone, which you don't see every day. http://www.beautifulbritain.co.uk/images/Whitby/whitby084.jpg Damn it, I want to go to Whitby.
  21. Oh, and those "benches" at regular intervals up the steps were apparently for coffins to be rested on when the bearers needed a rest on the way up to the chapel. Legend has it that a black dog jumped off a deserted ship, swam to shore, ran up the steps in to the chapel and disappeared. Bram Stoker liked that and wrote Dracular.
  22. Going off topid, but yes, Whitby is a beautiful place with a real sense of history. http://www.whitbyonline.co.uk/whitbyhistory/ Nothing like climbing the 199 steps to the old chapel and sitting on a bench overlooking the bay, it's a special place. http://blog.secretescapes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/whitby-David-Speight.jpg Grimsby... not so much.
  23. I think Whitby is a bit more touristy. I've just had a look at a couple of Whitby menus, and cod and chips seems to go for between ?9 up to ?13 (but I think that's quite a posh place). As I said earlier, I never used Seacow because I don't like fish, but ?9 to eat in somewhere seems good to me. Especially when you'll easily pay ?6 for a dirty fry up these days.
  24. Spurs will be a bit of a come down after DHFC.
