  1. Surely EDT is a shorter walk than the gowlett (when you can cut diagonally across the green).
  2. Although one does have to take one's hat off and give it up for the OP for this masterful bit of trolling. Start the thread, leave to simmer, come back and throw in some spices, and bang, an explosive dish that's wound people up over 2 separate forums whilst they sit back and laugh. Nice work.
  3. UNFORTUNATRLY the fact the club has been there longer than the residential properties doesn't cut the mustard (it bloody well should, but it doesn't). In cities all over the world live music venues which have been there for years, are being restricted or closed because residents of near by new builds are moaning about the noise. It's shit, and these people are in my opinion morons who suck the soul out of places, but alas they often get their way. But there was still no drumming and this is still bullshit.
  4. The MET twitter said he was down safely.
  5. Yes they are. And she'll be new and interesting to the other kis, so sure they'll all be keen to talk to her.
  6. A friend of mine has the facility to digitalise the contents of cassettes. Was very useful for me when I found a demo from my first ever band, and a recording of a school concert.

  9. But I find it ridiculous that someone like my dad, who still drives short distances at 75, and gets about 2 buses a year, automatically received a freedom pass. I definintely think it's something you should have to actively apply for rather than it just landing on your doorstep.

Maybe set the age for universal free > travel at 70 now that people are living and > working longer. Agree with a lot of this. But moving it to 70 would mean a lot of non working over 60s would lose out unfairly. The other option would be means testing, but that might cost more to do than actually providing the passes.
  11. One Saturday afternoon last season I had a nasty hangover and found myself stood right next to a lad with a drum, who hit it with relish throughout. Now whilst I would have happily stabbed him that afternoon, there is no way that the noise would have carried half a mile and through closed windows. Haven't seen a drum there since.
  12. Is it a state school or an academy / free school? If the latter, then they can basically do what they want.
  13. My daughter's school introduce it in year 2 as part of the classroom learning.
  14. What LondonMix said.

  17. But if, God forbid, there was something on the scale of 9/11, then yes, I could see the biggest war monger getting voted in.
  18. No, not like 9/11 (which was 14 years ago). Something like Paris which would whip things up NOW for him to jump on.
  19. Hurrah, not me then, because I have no ideas what you were on about.

Just hope there isn't a significant attack on U.S. soil (I mean something on Paris scale) as that could sway people towards him if they're suitably scared.

Annoys me too.
  23. Are you police? (genuine question)
  24. And if the police don't know about something, then they're not going to be scared of it are they?
  25. Bit of a difference between a weed farm and an area that is so dangerous police fear to tread, so I'd argue it wasn't your point at all.
