  1. Michael Jackson Thriller is iconic, whatever else followed.
  2. It TURNED OUT to be unnecessary, how on earth could that have been known beforehand?
  3. If you bank there, I am assuming your sort code will remain the same? (I didn't pay attention to my letter)
  4. 4-0, top of the league!

Totally agree with this. Although Billy Bragg did say that he has issues with the Lords, he's not all of a sudden their biggest cheerleader to be fair (and I'm not a devoted Bagg follower).
  6. It shouldn't even have come to this. What this whole tax credit thing really shows is that it's a nonsense, on a big issue, to tow the party line. A substantial number of Tory MPs seem to have concerns about this particular issue, and yet they've all voted for it in the commons. Had they spoken up more in the house, and then voted accordingly, we never would have reached this entirely predictible mess. Lords has needed revamping for years, funny how only now the government is saying "hang on a second". What would be an absolute disaster for democracy would be if the government now cram Lords full of new Tory peers (and I would honestly say this about any party)so they can just force everything through.

    So....

"Simples". Fuck off!!! Okay for a Russian meerkat in an advertising campaigne, but when a human uses it I want to punch them.
  8. Fingers crossed!!!
  9. Cheers RD, we used them first time out, and they've already sent us a reminder. It wasn't their fault we have such a bad deal, just the facvt that it was all that was on offer for a "help to buy" mortgage. Really quite annoying as we haven't taken a penny from the government, all they do is cover 15% if we default, the idea being that the risk to the banks is taken away. So in theory the banks should treat you like anyone else with 20% deposit, but of course they choose to bend you over and give you a royal rogering because they can.
  10. I think people still call places. The issue is online ordering, and I guess it's easier for places to use Just Eat than to set up and maintain their own websites and order systems.
  11. I agree with DaveR on this.
  12. Curry, pizza, chinese. It's hardly a new thing to get food delivered.
  13. I'll be doing this for the first time early 2016. But we have such a shit rate now that anything will be an improvement! I'll definitely be looking to fix again, but I'll be lucky to get below 4% I reckon.

  15. And getting there by beating the team that were top and on a 7 match win streak. I'll be there Tuesday evening, haven't been to an evening match in years!

That's called making changes when things aren't going your way. Something Brendan Rogers would never do (which was always my issue with him from the moment he sold Carrol without even giving him a chance).
  17. I used to do buses a lot (ED to Woolwich for work every day) but since moving to Sydenham in 2006 I am a complete train convert. That said, my job involves travelling on buses with school kids, so it's no surprise I don't enjoy them anymore.

I thought West Ham would get a result, and went for 2-2. Impressive win.

  20. Okay, popped in to Twangs this afternoon. Lessons are a bargain at ?14.50 for half hour. And they do all week round up to 9pm, from total beginner to Grade 8, including the theory.

Haha, there is one in Blackheath Village that I had the misfortune of being dragged to years ago. It was EXACTLY as you describe.

Clearly you don't really need one then, but for older people that don't use the Internet, or deal with cheques, it will be a loss.
  23. I sent Quids a PM telling him to wind his neck in. Flaunting his obvious wealth with hos very user name, rubbing it in. The jerk. And LondonMix? Mix what what? RACIST!!!
  24. My bad, you didn't say pull. Still stand by what I said though, a person like that, that wound up is not going to listen to reason.
  25. And I think had the driver tried to "pull her off the bus immediately" she'd be screaming "get your hands off me, see what he's doing to me" and so on. I wouldn't be too keen on approaching that nutter. But anyway she's pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in a couple of weeks. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/oct/19/woman-anti-muslim-bus-tirade-admits-racial-abuse
