  1. Lidl potted herbs are ROCK buy them anywhere else and they are dead before you wake up next morning by comparison, the Lidl herbs (and I'm not talking any particular type - I've tried various) are still going months later on the kitchen windowsill
  2. Just because characters are passive in bokos, doesn't mean the readers accept that as A Good Thing - they can be quite critical Otta - much of it might be dismissed as "just" comics - but a lot of the extremely gory American horror commics (can't remember names), 2000ad Not waaay before 10 but i remeber reading The Shining and Salems Lot around then as well I also found some of my dad's books which were badly written airport-fiction but full of vile people being horrible do each other in business/bed/homes. Couldn't tell you the names of any of them tho
  3. I think most people would still prefer divorce option if I'm honest
  4. I was reading stuff waaaay darker than twiglet and Hunger Games well before 10 You know that kids relish darkness don't you? They know you don't want them to read it. Not allowing them? You're deluding yourself. They will read it. And they will be fine
  5. Most modern stadiums look much alike PD - I wouldn't read too much into it
  6. You jest of course and you probably are already aware MK or Brighton are in the running
  7. And when you say I am smearing you, nothing more, what about the lengthy full-on, over the top response to Kirsty which I note is also now removed. Do you think that was overstepping the mark or are moderators stil "playing politics"?
  8. For clarity, what exactly is the smear? As I understand it, you posted a short post which characterised Yes voters as dicks. You claim I out words in your mouth and took it out of context This is the post in question http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,976551,1388140#msg-1388140 This is consistent with Huguenots earlier post in which he claims you would have to be a dickead to want to vote yes http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,976551,1387551#msg-1387551 Am I smearing or am I being factual?
  9. God forbid you should ever admit to overstepping the mark. Moderators moderating more like it "Playing politics". Honestly
  10. H - I can see what you wrote in black and white. In full context. And nothing you say, including name calling, changes that fact. You do the full swagger, tell it like it is Huguenot thing and as soon as someone calls you on it you go into denial and start calling them names?
  11. lilyrose pay no heed to anyone having a pop for taking over the shop - seems they can't join the dots Business opens small shop Business does well Business does VERY well Business outgrows shop Business decides/is forced to not renew lease due to cost/no longer a priority Shop is put back on market A new Business starts at step one (hopefully does as well) Best of luck
  12. such "petty" thinking EP ;-) mensch was a no voter until she saw where Murdoch was heading Anyway i was only making the point that the Yes campaign isn't merely a lefty anyone-but-tories argument. It's that kind of point-scoring lazy assumption that is hardening some of the undecided in Scotland I reckon
  13. I would engage with the forum and give the traders own side of the conversation. Reverse the tactic and user-shame
  14. This conflation of yes votes/left/anyone but Tories needs spiking too. I see @GuidoFawkes is now a Yes supporter. Rupert Murdoch, Louise Mench, Brian Souter...
  15. But that paragraph doesn't negate or qualify the one where you call yes voters dicks, does it?
  16. man, these poker cliques ;-)
  17. Huguenot's original post: "I don't think I had any particular expectations of the outcome - apart from that whatever the outcome it wouldn't be for the right reasons. My cynical side says the dicks will win, the eternal optimist tells me the arguments will win out, my rational self tells me just to wait and see" Huguenot today: " I didn't say only dicks vote yes, I said clearly that the majority of people voting either way would be insufficiently informed to make a decision. " Again, if I'm misreading or putting words in your mouth - apologies. But I can't read your original line and read it any other way, even now Is there a way of reading your original post that allows for a yes vote but voted for by non-dicks?
  18. An italian A cinema
  19. those are strong opinions - but I don't think there is anything offensive about them is there? There is room for them to be disagreed with but I didn't swear or directly call anyone names -
  20. Hmmmm. Good points parkdrive. Ta
  21. How lovely to hear back from MM - good post too
  22. I quite liked these versions of Seinfeld and Friends from Sims4 http://www.vg247.com/2014/09/08/the-sims-4-gallery-friends-seinfeld/
  23. But why would we come out of it badly? I can imagine as many positives as negatives. Why focus on negatives?
  24. "( remember when a cd could cost ?20!)" Yup - and what makes it worse is how much I was earning at the flipping time!
