  1. Yesterday I had a key cut. It cost me ?3.50 for less than a minutes work. If I had one cut each minute for an hour that would be ?210. Is that reasonable? I had some windows repaired at home. Two people worked on them and were gone by 11.30 and charged nearly ?1000. Is that reasonable? This is why I'd like to know why people say something is 'reasonable'. Is it really? Define it so we know what you are talking about.
  2. Wow. Sexist comment or what. It's 'or what' actually. My point was that 'reasonable' is totally subjective as it means different things to different people. I threw in the bit about 'hubby' as there is probably some truth in it based on what I've read so far, but of course I knew in this PC world/forum somone would pick up on it. At least it gave RPC something to write about in the irrational rage thread (in case she was stuck) and maxxi the chance to have a dig, again. Of course you can call it a sexist comment, but if you don't realise that men and women are different then you are probably on Venus or Mars. Anyway, once I've completed my research on the Business thread I'll publish my findings which to this point I will admit are not proven and just a hunch.
  3. This is often the ending to a recommendation in the business section. I often wonder how many of the people who write that have a clue what's reasonable and what isn't. I suspect that most of them haven't a clue, don't pay the bill (hubby does) and are just happy the job is done to their satisfaction and the guys who did it were very nice and tidy too. Of course I could be completely wrong.
  4. Lay on City is 20/21 currently (1.97).
  5. Putting on the second sock (of a matched pair) only to find there's a bloody hole in it.
  6. Well done for finding this thread so quickly. Some people will just start a new one willy nilly like, without even checking.
  7. God I can't stand the fact I'm sticking up for Scholes Why?
  8. Would that be more profitable than betting on City not to win?

  10. I'm curious why they would fly tip. Didn't they have a bin?
  11. Trying to match pairs of socks.
  12. 40/6 x 9 = 59.94.......in theory that quite consistent and would place me in the top 3.
  13. http://www.historyofirishtennis.ie/ See for yourself Mick.
  14. I've put a thread in the For Sale Section for an epic book of 3 volumes my brother wrote called The History of Irish Tennis. It's likely to appeal to people brought up anywhere in Ireland who had an interest in tennis. As threads seem to sink in that section rapidly I'm posting here. There a link to the website if you are interested.
  15. Jeysus, when I started drinking you could get 5 pints for less than a quid. Showing my age here.
  16. More urgently is the need to set up a 100's competition.
  17. Does that mean tj you don't have to purchase them? It is a huge amount for that fixture. I was looking at the RWC website yesterday and there were tickets for France v Ireland @ ?250 a pop. That's a lot too though a more attractive fixture. Mind you the way Fiji can play can be very entertaining.
  18. http://www.worldfootball.net/news/_n1291732_/borini-eager-to-renew-balotelli-link/ Borini makes his case to play with Mario. He did ok at Sunderland but Liverpool decided not to sell him. Why not give him a chance?
  19. I'm looking forward to United v Chelsea. Chelsea currently being the best team in the league but United having some exciting players. We could get stuffed, there could be goals and before ko you can always be hopeful of a surprise.
  20. How exactly do you measure any manager's achievements v those of the players v those of the backroom staff v those of the board?
  21. Good read.

It seems like a good explanation to me.
  23. Looks like a lot of people would like to know the answer to your question. I'm just nosey. What do you want removed and why? I have the impression rightly or wrongly that people have these done when they are under the influence of something or other and I don't see why you would if not. Being a Lady of course you don't have to answer.
  24. Well Neymar did after 3 minutes.
  25. Sky can't show the 1st 15 minutes of RM v Barca. I suppose the reasoning is sound but really who is actually going to get out of a football ground and home or elsewhere between full time and 5.15 to watch a televised match?
