  1. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-ham/11186527/Sam-Allardyce-West-Hams-owners-are-best-Ive-ever-had-and-deserve-this-success-after-not-sacking-me.html Sam in paper. ETA Nose FA predicted 2-1 to WH today.
  2. Yeah, you exist in a different dimension but you guys seem to expect to play like Barcelona/Real Madrid or whoever is the in vogue team. Now you are high up in the league you even seem to hate that because of your manager.Madrid change managers almost every season. It not about the manager alone it's about the resources the club has at it's disposal.
  3. This thread is inspired by my son who recently looked at a packet of red lentils and asked, why are they orange? I was stumped for an answer. Feel free to answer if you know and/or ask your own questions.
  4. I'm getting the impression some WH fans don't like Sam
  5. I won't bother writing what Fergie wrote about WH in the revised version of his book as he knows even less than me.........
  6. Nice piece from a Spanish paper. Along with Gerrard the Anfield crowd came out of the whole affair with a little bit of dignity. Spanish paper AS journalist Alfredo Relano singled out the stadium for special praise. England remains the temple of all of the great values in this sport ? and Anfield especially, but not only Liverpool?s fabled ground. Just one visit to Liverpool?s stadium can cure us, if only temporarily, of at least some of the tiresome tittle-tattle which we have to abide so frequently in this country. Football has always been a game of beauty, but it?s even more beautiful when it is viewed with the respect shown last night on Merseyside.
  7. I travel in before 7am and back before 5pm. I'd say that the service is reliable 95% of the time.
  8. At long feckin last............900
  9. I think you'll find you'll get a reduction by phoning to cancel the renewal. As DaveR said the comparison sites are good.
  10. I scrapped one about a year ago via a company who collect. They offer you a price and transfer the funds into your account. I was surprised how much they paid for quite an old car. Unfortunately I can't remember who it was with. But you could always do a search.

She didn't think given the price of the drinks an additional charge should be paid.
  12. I know f**k all. I confess. Most unusual for a team to be doing well and a fan wanting the manager to be sacked. That's your right. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me but then again I know f**k all. ETA No need to be so rude maxxi
  13. I considered it a bad move to sack him for a long time. Perhaps Shearer is me-like as I haven't heard his opinion on the subject. It's you WH fans on here who should be eating a bit of pie/cake. Did anyone see the picture of Steve Bruce taken on the tube yesterday after the game? Trying to catch a train to Manchester to get to BFS's party.
  14. I love the names of the songs. Quite an album in the making there.
  15. Who are the other 5 in your top 6 ????'s?
  16. Regarding the service charge,my colleague refused to pay it so I take it that it's optional.
  17. Van Morrison & The Chieftains
  18. I know there was a good footie match on but I couldn't keep my eyes off Munster's match v Sale. They were well down at half time but I lumped my winnings on MC v Spurs having more than 2.5 goals on them winning. I only got 3/1 but it was worth it given how the match ended.
  19. In other words it's best abide by the rules so you don't get caught however unfair it might seem.
  20. Seems noone has gone there Pete. A colleague at work went there to eat. Quite expensive and that's without a drink. But money is relative.

I could of course once my older brother explained how league tables worked. It was goal average in those days Mick so a lot of maths was involved. There was a classic league cup semi-final over two legs with City that year I think. City won I know. Anyway my name is Alan here. I'm old.
  23. City were good in those days but I seem to remember that United blew the league that year. May have been distracted by the European Cup.
  24. One of those goals in the clip was against Man U and is the closest thing I've seen to what I'd call a George Best type goal.
