  1. What a peculiar thing for Wenger to say about Welbeck. If he hadn't been abroad on transfer deadline day he wouldn't have signed him. Have I missed something?
  2. That's a weird one. I wonder if they got the wrong address?
  3. The hurling was fantastic as was the football semi last week.
  4. At our wedding we had a part of The Prophet read in Spanish & English. I think it was this... Kahlil Gibran On Marriage You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
  5. Parasite...
  6. If you get a chance to see McGeady's second goal for the ROI you will enjoy it. If it was George Best I'd have been drooling.
  7. Well if could get around to putting a list together I might buy some.
  8. I like to think I'm quite interested in the other divisions. In the case of Millwall, I always liked Holloway and wondered why he bailed out at Palace. Some of his interesting quotes...... http://www.footballfancast.com/football-blogs/ian-holloway-comedy-genius-his-top-20-quotes-of-all-time
  9. I went to Evita twice years ago. Only thing I liked about it was the song 'Don't cry for me....'. Mind you if you read enough reviews of anything you'd never go to the theatre.
  10. Isn't there a thread for non PL teams somewhere?
  11. Feck ya. What was I thinking.
  12. He represented Ireland as an amateur. Boxing, like a few sports there has one body representing the whole of the island. If you still want to claim him KK at least add the '& NI' to the GB.
  13. I need some recommendations for maybe a musical or opera. I was thinking of Jersey Boys but reading some poor reviews of new cast in new theatre I was thinking of maybe The Commitments. Anyone been to either? Am trying to cater for mixed tastes.
  14. this list might help ring a bell http://www.imdb.com/list/ls002724091/ or this might be it https://www.youtube.com/user/WildKingdomTV

  16. I would say the bottom line is how much in total they are prepared to loan you on the basis of your income. If it exceeds your current borrowings then the difference is how much. As for taking your current mortgage off you I don't know how they could do that given your payment history. Why don't you try their website as a potential new borrower and see what results you come up with?
  17. Yeah but disinterested or uninterested fans doesn't make sense. There is no such thing.
  18. Feeding the various ducks and geese in the pond on Sunday brought about a hive of excitement as pieces of bread were thrown towards them. Many chose to exit the water in the hope of increasing their chances of a bit of scran. One chap however was totally untrained and chose to go through the railings onto the path. I was about to report this to the Park Keeper when thankfully someone's pet hound, gratefully off the leash and unconcerned by the prospect of a ?100 fine, started to chase and then bite the duck. This caused some consternation for the duck as it appeared he was about to meet his Waterloo. Luckily for him the mutt's grip loosened and allowed daffy the chance to slip back through the railings and return from whence he came. I bet the naughty duck wont do that again.

I believe Monaco are paying a fair chunk of his wages and I suspect the gamble was due to United not being sure about RVP's fitness. I think if they play a 3-0-7 formation they can bypass the need for creativity in the middle and just score goals up the top end.

  22. Anyone know of any reason LB won't be open tomorrow?
