Becks, you just have to be very Welsh like the barman was 'very Irish'. Being Irish myself I often wonder what a very Irish Irishman is supposed to be? If you can answer me that I'll tell you where I am on the scale. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,388404,1257770,page=17#msg-1257770 Anyway, this is a link to the Rugby matters thread and if you scroll up a bit, why not play in the EDF Fantasy game for the 6 Nations?

The question is Becks, are you very Welsh?

England v Ireland is on a Saturday which is a more attractive option.

Are you green with envy BR as no one has ever heard of City? You look ill.

The Rules from page 1 1) Post another song by the same artist OR 2) Post a different song and artist, however, the new song title must contain one of the words from the song title before it. Not from the artist, from the SONG TITLE. 3.) Extra points are awarded and admiring glances from fellow EDHeifers are guaranteed when the song titles are Mott the Hoople/Ian Hunter songs. I think it is against the rules.

I don't think I've come across anything quite as ridiculous as competing teams being obliged to play friendlies with the host nation. Is there a precedent for this in any sport?

'Installation of new shopfront (to include removal of front access to flat above); erection of single storey, rear extension (L-shaped) with rear refuse storage area and proposed glass/aluminum side roof section to ground floor shop; new rear access with steps to flat above; and new decked patio with fold out doors to flat at first floor level.' What is there to scrutinise? Even if there was an arguement against this proposal, it could be amended I'm sure. That's not going to help keep the current tenants in situ. What's Plan B, Councillors?

Written by someone from my neck of the woods....... An Elegy On The Death Of A Mad Dog Good people all, of every sort, Give ear unto my song; And if you find it wondrous short, It cannot hold you long. In Islington there was a man Of whom the world might say, That still a godly race he ran? Whene'er he went to pray. A kind and gentle heart he had, To comfort friends and foes; The naked every day he clad? When he put on his clothes. And in that town a dog was found, As many dogs there be, Both mongrel, puppy, whelp, and hound, And curs of low degree. This dog and man at first were friends; But when a pique began, The dog, to gain some private ends, Went mad, and bit the man. Around from all the neighbouring streets The wond'ring neighbours ran, And swore the dog had lost its wits To bite so good a man. The wound it seemed both sore and sad To every Christian eye; And while they swore the dog was mad, They swore the man would die. But soon a wonder came to light That showed the rogues they lied,? The man recovered of the bite, The dog it was that died! Oliver Goldsmith

Oh great. This may be a chance to spoil it for them with a goal in the 93rd minute.

Look on the bright side. We managed to avoid City twice. We don't play them in the Final and the league game scheduled for that week-end is postponed.

Thanks Bob. May do at some point.

I have it on good authority that the place is shut. A lot can happen in 25 years which is probably the last time I played there. Ah well..........I'll go the the movies in ED instead. Wonder if Ben Hur will be on?

I once knew this so well I could recite it. Say Bazonka every day That's what my grandma used to say It keeps at bay the Asian Flu' And both your elbows free from glue. So say Bazonka every day (That's what my grandma used to say) Don't say it if your socks are dry! Or when the sun is in your eye! Never say it in the dark (The word you see emits a spark) Only say it in the day (That's what my grandma used to say) Young Tiny Tim took her advice He said it once, he said it twice he said it till the day he died And even after that he tried To say Bazonka! every day Just like my grandma used to say. Now folks around declare it's true That every night at half past two If you'll stand upon your head And shout Bazonka! from your bed You'll hear the word as clear as day Just like my grandma used to say!
