  1. I knew who you were referring to JL but they aren't anywhere near Paris. But I was curious about the original Wanderers and googled it and lo and behold they play locally.
  2. From the horse's mouth 'managing to avoid him' could constitute a near miss. Going slow or fast.

That's a bit like saying England are from London. I could only think of Ajax and that was stretching it a bit. As for the Wanderers....they have reformed and play at Belair Park in some Surrey league. Any other Wanderers would just be a fake imitation......

Van the man got a lot of stick and players from both side got bans as a result of it (more from Arsenal). So regardless of what might have been at stake it was going to be feisty.

  6. Basically then you just avoided hitting lycra man when pulling into an area where he shouldn't have been jogging. He probably got a shock and reacted without thinking of the innocent children but how lucky he was not to have been hit by a car. That it was his fault obviously did not compute but next time he may be more careful.
  7. I do wonder though if the very good players who left Arsenal would have stayed if there was more investment in the squad? I'm thinking of Cesc, Nasri and RVP. Are there others? More success would bring in more money, but it seems they preferred the balance the books approach rather than the speculate to accumulate approach. There must have been times when they were only two or three players short of a very good team as opposed to a good one.

  9. Why was he running on the road and why do you think he flipped a finger?

  15. In the interests of research Louisa, which coloured bin did you use?
  16. I think reserving a spot with a bin is ignorant. With a note on it, it would be different. It's your own fault you just weren't thinking. You don't actually know why the RED FORD FIESTA driver actually took the spot. They could have been on a mercy mission or something of equal importance to your need at the time.

  18. My son mislaid the cable for an electric razor. It's probably in his bedroom but may have taken days to find.

  21. Sorry Louisa but reserving a space with a bin is fair game for anyone who wants to park, disgusting car or not.
  22. The week-end should be fun. Clive Woodward said England should chase a 50+ points win, to catch Ireland. Will France try to catch England? Will Ireland win?
  23. *tiptoes in* *looks round.........no sign of a hundred in here* *tiptoes out before being caught*
  24. Hee hee.
  25. It's difficult to summon up support for any team one has no connection with.
