  1. Some fantastic goals by the Arse yesterday. What makes football worth watching.
  2. In this joke the monkey is the clever one. The only people who might be offended are those who relate monkey's to black people (I suppose). Whoever reported this to the Sun is a fool. As for Roy telling the joke, it wouldn't have been up there with what I'd imagined goes on in a dressing room at HT.
  3. Me too with the 2-2.
  4. Have you looked at the racing competition recently? I had the first two. I think I did well and I had an ew bet on Top Notch Tonto today. Perhaps RD can publish the results here?
  5. The speling on dis tred had gon downhil.

  7. That fella used to play in goals didn't he? Was it for France?
  8. Shock horror. Foreigner scores for England.
  9. Thanks for the info everyone.
  10. Can anyone advise me please? Websites, tv, radio, twitter, print. Anything else? Young Medic needs to learn what's happening in the world or what might happen.
  11. I didn't think you would be.................now ????'s, you know how to PM? I'll send you instructions if needs be.
  12. Frankly RD, I think the only way to presuade ????'s to return would be if you missed a week too in sympathy.
  13. Well if that's the case would you mind PM'ing your predictions to me? I'll use them!

You can easily make your predictions anytime during the week. Anyway, I need you to stay in as you seem to be the man to beat with so many correct scores. I'm sure you have a formula which given time I might crack! Keep playing.

Are you saying Mick you've never added to your original investment (apart from winnings)?
  16. It's a long season. You won't be the only one to forget.
  17. One interesting fact regarding the fixtures Woolwich have played this season in the PL is that they gained 3 points more from them last season. That could be construed as taking a backward step but I wouldn't say that. I was going to congratulate PD on getting through a series of posts without using the word 'unproven' but alas he let me down.
  18. I don't understand at all why Rio is being played so much. Evans is a much improved player than a couple of seasons ago and Rio has looked like he's feeling it (playing so many games). Also Jones by most accounts should be a centre half but rarely gets played there. Nani is a waste of space to me and I'd like to see Zaha given a go. I thought Ashley Young was a good buy initially but he hasn't come up with the goods. The one positive is that Rooney is playing well and perhaps he is being helped by the more intense training sessions. In a perverse way it's sort of good to be talking about United having problems as all the ABU's are delighted. I'm looking forward to seeing how Moyes gets it right.
  19. I think he's talking about Hamilton.

  21. I didn't know that was the proposed schedule. As per usual the players would have to be released for internationals so the clubs would be weaker during that period. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me if they are inviting the Celts and the Italians into the new event how they could complete an event in a matter of weeks (even without them).Rugby players can at most play two high intensity games in a row. I think everyone agrees the HC and 6 Nations are of higher intensity than club matches. It also doesn't make sense in respect of the broadcaster investing so much money in something that lasts for such a small part of the season. I don't doubt what you've written but where did it come from?
  22. It's basically about money though isn't it, with BT offering a huge TV deal. In Ireland the provinces are subsidised by the IRFU and as a result they dictate how often contracted players play. As a result they are used sparingly in the league but not the HC. The English and French clubs don't have that luxury. The qualification issue for the HC is valid, but so too is the idea of expanding the game in Europe, and to exclude the Italians would not help their development. It must have been a first but both Zebre and Treviso won last week-end. Whatever happens, an Anglo French cup would not be as appealing as the current HC, and would certainly lead to the the departure of the better players to France & England (those who haven't already gone).
  23. My son has tried Flaxmans and it has just what he wants. Thanks for the tip.
  24. Anyone else interested in the developments in club rugby? I would hate to see the HC go and who would be interested in an Anglo French Cup?
