I'm happy to pay whatever if it's justified. I guess I'm a bit wary as we had bath taps which leaked a bit sometime after being fitted, during the same job. These did not look like they were fitted correctly and the plumber's mate came and re-fit them. He said the problem was there was a fault with the taps and wanted to replace them. However, they haven't leaked since and that was over a year ago. If it's limescale, does it just require some cleaning RD?

He's proven he could remember the code though, if he did find it.....woman,man,camera...and some others for bonus points and getting them in order.

We've a small leak under the toilet sink which was newly fitted 3 years ago. I'm curious what would have caused it, given the pipework (hosework?) under it is unlikely to have been fiddled with in all this time. It's in a cabinet. Is it likely to be: a) Poor workmanship b) Faulty product c) Wear and tear d) Something else I've asked the guy who fitted it to come and fix it. I'm curious if I should expect him to do it for nothing. What do you think?

Walking on narrow footpath with my wife. Jogger running towards us makes no effort to avoid us by going onto the road. We go onto the road to avoid jogger. A panting jogger is more likely than most to be spewing out virus ridden droplets if he/she were infected.

Just to confirm that they're still predominately selfish unthinking bas*ards, who should not be running on footpaths.

Well, I sort of agree with him that it's a money making scam, for friends of the government. While sitting there I did hear a bit of a rumpus behind me, which featured loudly the word 'mask'. The next time I saw said cleaner, he was 'wearing' a mask. It may have been under his chin, but I suppose I should be grateful for small mercies.
-
I went there for the first time and wondered where the hell did this come from? Impressive building. I was less impressed while waiting for a test to hear a maskless cleaner(?), while pushing his trolley around, conversing with the receptionist and explaining to him that covid doesn't exist and it's all a money making scam.

I can confirm it was mentioned on the radio too.....if that helps!

Does Aston charge by the hour or the job? I read that some posters here found him very expensive. Obviously what's expensive for some isn't for others.

This speech says it all for me about the government.

That frustrates me too. The scenes in Liverpool last night were horrific, if what I saw was true. I'm unhappy that the government is spending our taxpayers money lining the pockets of their friends. If the results were good I wouldn't complain but they're not. Between PPE and test and trace, billions have been misspent. > > As I said we all have our own important part to > play in curbing the virus and the media stirring > isn't helping IMHO Agreed, in that I can only take care of myself. By avoiding contracting it, I won't spread it. What is it that you think the media is stirring up?

Spartacus, it's the corruption in this government I object to. Of course their handling of the pandemic could have been better. Johnson's mixed messages didn't help. He was very slow to cotton on to the seriousness of the situation e.g shaking hands in a hospital with covid patients, not attending COBRA meetings etc. Funnily enough I spoke with my son in China yesterday. He lives in a large city (Shenzhen)and he wasn't even sure of what the current regulations were, as there is an absence of the virus there. Some things are standard like having your temperature checked before entering any building. I'm not sure what 'freedom' you are referring to. His doesn't seem to have been inhibited.

That's my job. The government has made a balls of their job is all I'm saying. So what I wrote is not a 'problem', and neither am I for anyone else.

Spartacus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Whilst it is not going to be a popular opinion, > the government are doing everything they can to > balance the economy and save lives but, and this > is a big but, we all need to step up and protect > ourselves Well I have to agree with you there, it's certainly not popular with me. The government has squandered billons on a track and trace contract, subcontracted all over the place. It appears none of them have any experience with this sort of thing. Track, trace and isolate is meant to be a key aspect of inhibiting the spread of the virus. The world beating app is from Div.4 it seems. I'd have more sympathy for the government if they hadn't been dishing out contracts to friends and friends of friends. This is inexcusable and corrupt at the same time. Add to that the fact that the cabinet is made up of Johnson/Cummings yes men/women who only got their jobs due to supporting BJ's Brexit blindly, and you have a group of ministers not fit for the positions they hold. This government has a lot to answer for.
