  1. As a matter of interest has anyone written to our MP about this? Can an MP have any influence over how a Council operates?
  2. Darn! I changed my England prediction from 1-0 to 1-1 at the last minute.

That is a far more likely outcome than Ireland leaving the EU just to get into bed with a nutcase job of a regime in the UK. I suppose we should feel honoured that you think it's up to the Irish people to decide. Funnily enough those Irish people in NI voted to stay in the EU.

The protocol is to avoid there being a hard border on the island of Ireland. If that's not recognising/protecting the GFA, what is?
  6. Apologies for starting a new thread. I hadn't realised this was a hot topic already.
  7. I got one of these for 'Using a route restricted to certain vehicles (buses, cycles & taxi's only). "DULWICH VILLAGE (NORTHBOUND) TOWARDS PICKWICK ROAD". Can anyone enlighten me as to what restriction is this?
  8. Great. Thanks for all the information.
  9. Not in this case Penguin and perhaps not in others either. Wembley required football fans attending recent matches to be able to show a negative LFT result on their phones.
  10. Anyone know how/where I can do a test and obtain a printed result or a result I can print off? The printed result is a requirement to go to an event in a couple of weeks (assuming it's negative).
  11. I don't think your predicament is as bad as you think. 1161 posts over a 13 year period works out as 1.72 posts a week on average. Are you sure something else isn't to blame for this condition?
  12. Well this sorts Cummings out...

Probably the realisation that his 'hairstyle' is so as to cover up the fact he's going bald. I don't think they care that he's inept. PS No offence intended to bald people with this remark

I think yesterday he was operating with Parliamentary Privilege. "Parliamentary privilege grants certain legal immunities for Members of both Houses to allow them to perform their duties without interference from outside of the House. Parliamentary privilege includes freedom of speech and the right of both Houses to regulate their own affairs." I don't know how 'certain legal immunities' is defined. In other words, can he lie and get away with it? From what I heard most of it was believable though. Except the old Barnard Castle story. Hunt specifically quizzed him on why he thought it was okay to go with wife and kid on a test drive. Cummings thought there was nothing strange about that.
  15. Thanks for the input so far. I subscribe to an e-paper. Would I be able to download that on a Kindle?
  16. I'm in the Euro's, Red.
  17. Thanks for organising RD. It's quite a commitment. Well done to 3 out of 4 PD. Shouldn't you be retiring or something?
  18. Seems to have deleted her account.
  19. Someone is threatening to buy me a present of one. It's a nice idea but there is a Kindle App on my tablet I can use, if I wanted to read books. Would any Kindle users please advise why having a Kindle is an improvement on reading on a tablet?
  20. To be fair to Ireland, I'm pretty certain that after hosting it a few times as 'winners', they deliberately set out afterwards not to win it. It cost too bloody much to host! Here's a fine example........ https://youtu.be/T2OEd4pLMOI
  21. Desperate search for Brexit's failures? Jeez, if the NIP doesn't work then Brexit is an 100% failure. Many of us predicted that NI would cause it to fail. That's apart from all the other failing elements. The UK government are having to employ someone to point out the feckin' 'benefits' of Brexit, they are so hidden.
  22. Excellent read for Brexiteers......... https://chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2021/05/englands-dreaming.html

Given the recent story of the young Italian women being sent back to Italy having been locked up first.
  24. Does anyone have knowledge or experience of a returning EU citizen who has settled status, having difficulty entering the UK, or not as may be the case? Just asking as at some point my wife will undoubtedly visit her family in Spain. The UK won't be issuing any cards to prove it, which in the current climate suggests they like to make things as difficult as possible for EU citizens.
