  1. This was written by a Republican who voted to impeach Trump. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1349959275922206721.html
  2. I'd bet the UK decided to leave agreement that late in the day, so no one had time to examine it.
  3. Hopefully it will come out in the wash how deep the attack on the 6th went. From what I've read there were multiple 'tours' of the building given to outsiders the day before, by GOP representatives. If that's the case and they were reconnaissance missions, those reps should end up behind bars.
  4. If you were parked illegally, that's one wrong. What's the other one? It's not getting caught is it?
  5. Conviction needs a 2/3rds majority. 17 republicans need to vote for it in the Senate. Not the best time for America to be distracted by this, but not much choice.

Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of sh*t happening soon. I've read so many things that would be a cause of worry if they were true. Some GOP representatives are apparently of the same mindset as Trump. A little thing like refusing to go through the metal detector on entering the House, only acts to undermine its authority. It's sending a message.

Quite clearly says on the gate no > dogs! Dogs are never allowed in playhrounds! I think the question needs to be asked, is it a playground or a playhound? Dogs are always allowed in the latter I'm pretty sure.
  8. Yep mine too, wod.

  10. Sometimes if I'm looking to use up stuff, I just google recipes for whatever it is I've got. Usually, I just pick two items to see what comes up.

  12. DF may not want to go anywhere, but I see Johnson's father is taking up French citizenship.
  13. Tommy Docherty. One time manager of Manchester United and had an exciting young team in the 70's. Reminded me one one of my favourite matches of that era. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?view=detail&mid=93D04107A7D50E9E2AD193D04107A7D50E9E2AD1&q=man+utd+v+derby+county+fa+cup+1976&shtp=GetUrl&shid=9a336eaf-eaf6-45e7-8c65-c6c3ab2b1d89&shtk=RGVyYnkgY291bnR5IHYgTWFuIHVuaXRlZCAxOTc2IGZhIGN1cCBzZW1pIGZpbmFs&shdk=RGVyYnkgQ291bnR5IDAgTWFuY2hlc3RlciBVbml0ZWQgMiBhdCBIaWxsc2Jvcm91Z2gsIFNoZWZmaWVsZC4gYXR0LiA1NSwwMDAgVGhpcyB3YXMgdGhlIGhleWRheSBvZiBVbml0ZWQncyB0cmF2ZWxsaW5nIHN1cHBvcnQgYW5kIHRoZSBoZWF2aW5nIEhpbGxzYm9yb3VnaCBub3cgY2VydGFpbmx5IGFwcGVhcmVkIHByZWRvbWluYW50bHkgcmVkIGFuZCB3aGl0ZS4%3D&shhk=gXKlw6B%2BUWrMntcDixTjYKdc6LN3EB9N02DuxXrREG8%3D&form=VDSHOT&shth=OSH.0yIFN27NMtBfCnWPpdkGSA
  14. Like Farage, what use are the ERG once this passes through the HOC? They will have got what they wanted and if they don't disappear under the floorboards, they might have to explain what they thought was so good about leaving the EU.
  15. Anyone else receive an 'urgent' email from our local MP asking for views on the 'trade deal'? She's gauging what people feel about it. It would seem this may determine how she will vote tomorrow, in spite of there being a whip to support it in the Labour party.
  16. This made me laugh.....
  17. Ah,thanks. I didn't spot that before.
  18. What's your understanding of having 'workers' visiting your property for non essential work? I can't see which 'rule' applies to this.
  19. A caller to LBC this morning claimed that the reason the EU want to keep the UK in its clutches is because the UK has been such a great trading nation since 1600.....no, that's not 4 o'clock, that's the year 1600. I noticed for the first time doing an online shop that restrictions have been implemented on how many of an item you could buy. Maximum three.
  20. Interesting thread. Is Johnson clueless or did he always want 'no deal'? https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1337437325979246593.html
  21. I prefer theory 3 ☺ Re Theory one, I saw that on some Conservative members poll, that Liz Truss had replaced Sunak as the most popular MP of theirs.........Liz bloody Truss! She of the wonderful trade deals.
  22. I saw CNN's joint interview with Biden & Harris. I think I can best describe it as refreshing. It's likely they won't achieve everything they want to, what politicians do? I guess what was so refreshing was that it felt like they were being honest. Something that has been seriously missing in US and UK politics for some time.It was like taking a gulp of fresh air having just left somewhere stinky.

Strange that this is how the EMA describes itself on its website: "The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is a decentralised agency of the European Union (EU) responsible for the scientific evaluation, supervision and safety monitoring of medicines in the EU." Given that the MHRA approved the vaccine under European law, there is nothing to stop other EU countries from approving it either regardless of EMA approval. Emergency legislation allows for it. So, perhaps you'd like to reconsider your UPPER CASE POINT point?
