  1. Who knows BB, but she lost all credibility with me when she came out with that crap.
  2. She said this: "The UK is an international exemplar in preparedness"
  3. I've searched for this app but can't find it. There are quite a few but not this one, that I can see. Any tips?
  4. How many of you washed your hands after opening the letter, as a matter of interest?

Yes, politics and sports to mix. malumbu, this is the Predictor thread. There is a Football thread you know. I'm sure you of all posters will be glad to be told this.
  6. As Easter approaches there appears to have been more than one resurrection in this thread.
  7. She really should have been asked, was she on her daily exercise walk or was this her second time out.

I expect after this week-end there's every likelihood more restrictive controls will be introduced. I don't understand the connection between that, and why it would explain the govt. advice not to wear masks. What am I missing?
  9. They may not be shot but they will be the reason for increased restrictions. Selfish or stupid or both?

At the very least they stop you from inadvertently touching your face. I believe the US has told everyone they have to wear a mask. Not saying that government has managed this crisis well though.

You can think that if you wish, I don't. I've been out twice in three weeks in the early morning to buy some groceries. I didn't like doing it but I was glad I wore a mask. What about other people? You can't control what they do. You must know that?
  13. I need to send an important document to China and want to make sure it gets to its intended recipient. Anyone know what courier company I could trust to do this? I can't remember who I used previously but the documents in that instance were lost.

I eventually got a booking with the Co-op near the address in SE25. It was limited to 20 items and due to be delivered yesterday. When it was several hours late I contacted them, only to be told the order had been cancelled. No communication whatsoever. They didn't have the stock in store to fulfil the order.
  15. Not saying he's right but son in China says masks only really useful to help wearer not touch their own face.
  16. As the death rate increases so will peoples awareness of what not to do will also.
  17. Any recommendations where some basic shopping supplies can be bought locally? Have any shops applied procedures to allow us to keep away from each other? A list of these and what the procedures are, advertised on here, may lead others to follow suit. Perhaps if you do suggest somewhere, you could add what they usually stock.
  18. It is good news. I still think we should be in lockdown, as much of the damage has already been done, which will become apparent in the next two weeks. The supermarkets are now probably the worst place you can go.
  19. What is it you doubt about your role? You're keeping your distance. Anyone visiting them would not be doing them a favour.
  20. Very powerful. Thanks for posting it.
  21. Finally indeed. Now they need to sort out the supermarkets. Only a lockdown will do that.

Well that was my spare thought. I didn't realise it had to be helpful.
  23. My son in China reckoned panic buying stopped there after a couple of weeks, when the penny dropped that there was no need to do it.

The post you are referring to is on topic with the name of this thread. Perhaps you should ask admin to move the thread to the lounge if you think it's inappropriate?
